OMG I was on the computer and I was playing music really loud (SDB) and all the doors were shut and the TV on the other side of the house was on the lowest volume and I still heard Mikey and I ran through screaming sooo loud! I was like "AHHHHHHH MIKEYYYYYYYYY!!" My Mum was like "Wow how did you hear that?!" because if it was anything else it would have been impossible to hear but I have an ear for Mikey =D. And luckily I had just finished watching my Michael tape # 12 so I managed to tape most of it =D

I liked it, he sung it well, Amy Bowie who wrote Stupid Nothing Song is the daughter of one of the teachers at my school

To be honest I didnt particularly like it. He did ok. The song was waaaay repeditive as well.

Jason from Opshop was perfect - sounded amazing. When Michael came along and added his 'spunk' to it it just made the song sound hopless.

I voted for green in the end, nice song that really could have been our next number one.

I liked Green the most too Cam. Sounded a little like a Goldenhorse/Bic Runga/Missy Higgins type song.

When I realised how little time there was to vote between when Michael sang it and the end, I wasn't so worried about the unfairness. The song was pretty awful and I wish Michael didn't leave his mouth hanging open so much when he's not singing *sigh*.

Anyways, I wasn't surprised that the hip hop song won - there's a huge voting base for that genre.

What a stupid show. Good concept but put together poorly. It would have been better to go over a longer period of time. The song that won was so weak and unbelieveably lame. How did it even get into the finals?

Seems like Play it Strange gets thrown lots of money and airtime on TV and radio yet it hasn't produced anything of substance.

And what was Sony/BMG's MD going on about? The guy who wrote that song wrote one song for his kid and now they expect him to churn out an albums worth?

I agree with u Cam - micheal sang the song out of tune and pitchy in some parts because compared to Jasons rendition or the way its suppose to be done, micheal kind of ruined it.

I only watched the very end when the hip hop people were performing then when the credits came up my brother was like OMG MICHAEL MURPHY'S NAME!!! And I screamed at him to shut up because he's always mean to me about Michael, but now I think I have to apologise to him for screaming at him. But I won't.

Personally I loved the song. Jason did a great version, listen at the tvnz website. It was by far the best of the night with incredible lyrics. On voting on the song alone regardless of performance this one took the cake. Micheal if hes smart should release it, cause it has the potential to be his first number one. The other songs were boring and pretty much what you hear on the radio evry day. Battle ship penny was quirky. Wake up Micheal fans push for him to release it and watch it go staight to number one.
