DECISIONS FROM NZ ON AIR’S OCTOBER 2004 MEETING
Note: This is not a New Recording Artists round. The next New Recording Artist decisions will be announced in December
Music Videos
In this second round for the 2004/2005 funding year, we got 123 applications for music video funding.
Of the 123, 54 made it to the first shortlist. That’s 54 contenders for one of the 24 grants available.
In this round, we will do 24 projects but we will also do one extra project – the winner of the 2004 Cokesmokefreerockquest who gets NZ On Air recording and music video funding as part of their prize package.
Each project will get $5,000 to make a music video. Decisions are based on airplay potential after testing the songs with music video broadcasters and taking into account current radio priorities.

Radio Hits
[based on airplay in the July/September 2004 quarter]
Another 5 Radio Hits rebates for songs that have picked up significant airplay on commercial radio in the third quarter of 2004. Each project will get $5,000 (or the actual cost of recording and releasing the single, whichever is the lesser).
Decisions are based on analysing the RadioScope airplay charts which are in turn based on airplay returns from 146 radio stations around the country.
Remember that songs that have picked up significant airplay in this quarter but have already been funded via the Phase Four Album or New Recording schemes are not eligible for Radio Hits funding as well.

There is nothing for Ben or Michael.
Dude, did you drop the penny in the chasm of Khaza-dun again?
I think Lex was in a moment of insanity when posting this thread. Maybe its the flashbacks.
