Another great band that has failed to be mentioned, probably coz theres too many poppers and hip hoppers in the world. Get into your parents old CD's People!! And who agrees Michael does a great rendition of "One"???? My fav has to be "Bloody Sunday" good old Bono going back to his roots. What a meaningful song

The SAINTS are coming, the Saints are coming... *dances*

I went Friday night and it was awesome. I wish we had spent the extra money and gone up the front as they looked like they were having a ball. Unfortunately, the crowd around us didn't get that into it. The highlight was One Tree Hill for sure. Hope they come back soon!

It was spectacular.
That's really all that can be said. Totally and completely amazing.
Kanye was "boring as batshit" (sup Regan)
Thanks for the call!!
That's ok, I have NO credit coz I called so many people.
I hope it came through ok, the sound was pretty good at the venue but it was pretty crazy down in the pit!
It wasn't too bad, a little patchy - but who cares, I friggin heard Bono so it was awesome!!
Did anybody around here go to the concert last night? and what did you think of it?! Was it all you expected, or more ... or less?!!
Yeah I mean, what the hell?
Where are all the reviews?
Fanbleepintastic !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We're still recovering!
I went with rach n regan and anna/miss_chaos, will do a review when I'm not tired anymore!
I HAVE to go and see U2 now - they are the last of the Supergroups that have that huge sound that hits you in the guts and affects your whole body - heart and soul - and LIVE it where it's at !!! - trademe scalpers I'm at your mercy *whimpers* :'(
*Edits* - got my ticket for $105 *cheesiest grin*
There are HEAPS of U2 tickets still on TradeMe.
Had a look this arvo and there were at least 10 auctions under $300 for 2 tickets, various seating classes.
Not a lot of bids either.
NB: These were all listed well before the news this afternoon, so that would have no bearing.
Has anyone heard anything more on the news that U2 have cancelled the last ten shows in their tour due to a close family member of one of the band being sick??!!!
BIMI!
Any luck yet?
Nah ... I'm going to sit at home and watch it on DVD instead ;)
is it clear tho? have those extra tickets actually gone on sale yet?
They were on sale last Monday I seem to recall ... and if they were in the southern stand that was supposed to be finished in time, which is what I heard, I don't think I would've wanted one anyway ... cause you wouldn't have seen anything, being behind the stage like that! :|
Well, I tried ...
Does anybody know if the tickets are sold out or not yet?
They said on the radio they sold out in 50 mins
I was trying 2
Does anybody have access to ticketmaster's website, cause it's blocked at my work
and I already am trying to get through on the 0800 number but it's engaged already!
U2 ROCKS!
BIMI! OVER HERE!
Theres more tickets on sale for both U2 concertS, the southern stand will be completed in time. Theres just over 3000, and they go on sale via Ticketmaster at midday. Good luck!
I'm just wondering ... where is the stage going to be situated in the ground? and how can people sitting in the "southern stand" possibly see the stage if it's going to be right in front of them, as I thought?!!
My problem is, though, is that I have no one to go with ... so there's not really any point in me trying to get ONE ticket, cause I wouldn't want to go to something like U2 and sit by myself anyway :(
Then find someone to go with. Yell out in the office "anyone for U2 with moi?" You could have a road trip.
Buy a ticket Jess, and enjoy it. Don't mope around, life's too short
Can I crash at your place, Admin?!
I think I'm going to cry ... maybe I should head over to the hug thread! :(
My flatmate informed me last night that they aren't getting married on 18th March now!!! :( *sobs*
AWWW that sucks so bad. *bugs* Keep on the lookout! Something will turn up hopefully
That sucks! *Hugs*
Keep on searching the auctions, and good luck!
I had a look on trade me last night ... and there is no way I'm paying those prices for a ticket!!! :( ... and there are SO many people auctioning tickets too; it's quite incredible actually.
Keep an eye out on Trademe.
The auctions have slowed right down and the closer it gets, the cheaper the tickets will be, as people get desperate to on-sell them...
Swayer managed to see the Foos after thinking she had missed out.
Have faith - March is still a way off
Yeah don't stress, you can always do a road trip up (cos by now flights will probably be sold out or extremely expensive)and try Trademe say a couple of weeks before the show, the last week before the show tkts will probably be heaps as people get desperate to buy them.
Thanks for the encouragement, guys :)
U2 rocks!!!
Watched 'The Joshua Tree', the making of the album on C4 last night!
Still some of the very best U2 songs on that album, and one of my all time favourite albums! Fantastic songs and sounds!
I gave my dad that cd for christmas
I got a new CD of it for Xmas too. :) As a replacement for my old well-played, worn out tape of it!
A guy from work emailed me, wanting to swap his two B-reserve tix for one general admission. I was like "hell yeah" and then realised the tickets were for the wrong day. D'OH! I was GUTTED.
Kanye West is the support act!
woOp!
more info
Kayne West who?
My mum went to Christchurch real groovy at about 8.30 last night. There was about 200 people or so in front of her. She got to the door and they sold out. :'(
Saw the first campers outside Real Groovy at 9.30 in the morning...there were about 30 by mid-afternoon.
Yeah, we walked past Auckland Real Groovy at about 2am last night and there were at least 10 people already there, proper tents and everything set up, I hope they get tickets, that's dedication! We drove past again at about 5pm today, and the line was already all the way around the corner and at the back of the street. Poor people!
dumb bumbs
hmm IMHO each real groovy shop has been allocated 1000 tickets each. 1/2 of those wouldve went to the staff and their buddys then that would leave 500 to give out
Yea probably. I heard from a reliable source that for the first concert, 26,000 tickets had already been sold to record companies/radio stations/fan club etc etc before they even went on sale to the public. Crazy.
I'm glad heaps more people got tickets to the second concert, though it sucks if you missed out twice!
