Who's going to Carols by Candlelight at the Basin tomorrow night???
cloudy weather nice 'N cool
Aunty Vonny.... hey ya going to the big Parade tomorrow in Palmy
Guess you mean me!
No, I had a day off work and spent the weekend in New Plymouth! Was really nice there!
Did you go chevy?
I will be at the Feilding one this coming Sunday though. Always liked the Feilding one better than the Palmy one anyway! Not that I've seen the Palmy one for years, cause I'm always shut inside at work.
yes we took the whole family up. we were at the lights by Fitzherbet and church st. the parade was cool with heaps floats. kids got plenty of handouts.
I was surprised by the amount of new immigrants in the Palmy now.. Indonesians, Somalians, Muslims, Islanders etc wow Plamy is really a multicultural place now. the weather was purfect& sunny
Yeh, I always notice that in work now - the amount of 'multicultural' customers! So many of them can't speak English either. Often just one member of the family. And so many want bargains/discounts. Used to bargaining for prices I guess, a lot of them!
lol they're so use to their culture of haggle. different here when the price on the tag is the price you pay
WGC did anyone see the Dompost today lol i think 75 young ladys went and jumped into the Lagoon uniforms and all. 10degrees too cold.....!
I was too smart to jump
Lol! you totally were talking about that and then its like in the newspaper haha
Had a night and day in Wellington - first time there since April! Loved being back. Loved being there again by the sea, especially good in the sun with no wind!.
Finally went to the King Kong exhibition at Lower Hutt - just got there before it finishes next week. Got DVD set of video diary of the making of it.
lastnight i went to the erotia sex expo in Palmy. i didnt go in [because of my beliefs] but just drove around and waited outside for my workmates, i was the sober driver. I dont think i'll be babysitting them again, my workmates were drunk and very verbally rude to young ladys, how embarrasing!
Then we went Pubcrawling for 3hours amd seen about 4drag queens lol. ive never seen that stuff before so i just stared in amazement
Good on you chevy. Proud of you.
Levin vs Penrose High
a local College has made it into the Hockey Champs. Now we have lyke 100 Penrose High students supporters invading our streets walking around shopping, general
Man they must be very impressed with our hot Town and gigantic shopping Malls hehe
IM COMING TO WELLINGTON IN OCTOBER
for like 2 or 3 days but stillllll
DATES?! DURING TERM TIME?
Yup...I think we come the 25th or 26th of october not too sure though. lol.
TELL ME WHEN YOU'RE SURE
What are you talking about?!
*wink wink nudge nudge* heehee. I love editing!!
hi Blah, wow that'll be cool!@ dont forget to bring a warm jacket and Camera
Yesyes it will
We are coming for art history, to go to Te Papa because apparently they have an exhibition on. But we get free time which means we can run around and go crazy. I mean, what??
If only I went to a posh school I would be going to france for art history. cry.
Yay! Wellington is a cool place to come to..See the bucket fountain, when you do come
Wondered if chevy went to the Home show in Palmy at the weekend. I did after saying I wasn't going because they were always a waste of time, and boring. But then it rained after lunch on Sunday, so did for something to do - and what did I do but walk round complaining - so I was told. Didn't think I complained that much. Didn't find anything I was interested in or wanted to look at. And went home with the same impression I'd had from other years.
Always think if you want something you go to a shop for it, and see heaps more that way! What's the point if you don't want anything?
great idea Loyal. I never thought it had come round so quick!! Its about the 1st Home show ive missed in years. I go regulary and like those Mirrors that turn to pictures, Wine raks, Spa pools, potato peelers lol. but missed out this year
the parking is rediculous unless you park down Cuba street by the stockcar entrance. This Sat we are heading to the Palmy Greyhound track to see the big American Machines, Hotrod swapmeet
edit
Spongie!! hey where are you...
i read todays Manawatu Evening standard. Girls High had a BALL last month and some went to the the Novotel Motel and ripped the guts out of it. talk about trashing the place hahah! this is even the butt of all jokes in little 'ol Levin. go PNGH yayness!
Freyberg High School and Queen Elizabeth College balls are this Saturday. And Awatapu College and Palmerston North Boys' High School balls are on August 4.
Martin Macmaster is encouraging parents to speak "realistically" to their teenagers about drinking and how to keep safe.
This comes after a handful of students trashed parts of the Novotel Hotel during the Palmerston North Girls' High School ball last month.
Areas of the hotel were covered in vomit, urine and soiled sanitary items. The venue was left in what hotel staff described as a "revolting" state.
Despite security personnel armed with breath-testing equipment at the doors, several students were evicted for drunken behaviour
I buy the Manawatu Evening standard regulary. Ive been following the story about the Square clock tower and the light up top that was supposed to house the cross. Now theres nothing but a dim lantern Lol. seems Councillors have been divided and blaming each other for the lantern
Nice weather here lately though yay!
Yeh, sick of reading so much about the cross and the clock tower in the paper for months - or even years now!
Don't know why they didn't just leave it alone and save heaps of money. Because after all the controversary about having a cross, they decided to keep one anyway! Even if it is one no-one can see!
Yes! they came to an amicable decision that everyone will just have to live by. still dont know why the "people of Manawatu" didnt get to have their say on if it stays or goes? but left it to some Councilors who were to busy debating and pointing fingers Lol seemd a funny mess to me
Dry and sunny here today - and not had too much rain anyway. Went for a walk along the Manawatu and there was this huge, fast, muddy river, carrying along endless huge trees and branches. Stopped to watch them all for a while!
Seemed funny, when it was so dry and sunny, but of course all through from Hawkes Bay - all their rain and trees!
Yay, woke up this morning with Sunshine streaming through my curtains. still holding too
Bob Dylan is coming!!!!!!!!!! In concert in August!! Tickets go on sale on June 7th!!! F#$k Yeah!!!!
Welly, Aro Valley. does anyone remember this dump of a place? some of my cool childhood memories are from there. Going back there to see my relations in Adams Terrace. I remember that very steep st with old double decker houses that have 200 steps to walk up through the bushes
man we had alsorts of action here on Sunday..
Front page of todays Levin Chronicle 21/5/07: Helen Clark was in Levin on Sunday to open Horowhenua District Council's new $10mil building. At the opening were 100 protestors, protesting about HDC's rubbish dumping on Maori land plan without iwi consultation. Also 3Car-loads of Exclusive Bretheran young men turned up, got out of their Cars and started making uncomplimentary comments about Helen. Finally, a brawl took place at the opening between 2guys fighting over some chick LOL.
i told ya its a Exclusive Taleban town
Following on from my son going to Armageddon - he (and his wife) got me an awesome Mothers Day present while they were there!
Really proud of it - a little bit of Stargate right here!
A framed photo of General Hammond, written by him to me personally, and thanking me for watching Stargate SG1 and signed by him.
Awwwww, too cool Loyal!!!
That's a really, really brilliant present - I'm so jealous
LOL
Cake Tin, Hurricanes, this will be the most 'bestest' game ever. 3 leaving too.... bye Tana
Had another lovely Sat night/Sunday in Wellington! No wind again - been to Wellington so many times this year with no - or hardly any wind! Well was just a little breeze in places on Sunday afternoon!
My son went to Wellington to go to Armageddon. Did anyone from here go?
They (him and his family) were planning to meet the Colonel from Stargate - again. They go to every Armageddon in Wellington and some in Auckland.
I wanted to go to that Loyal but my brother and I couldn't find a carpark so we couldn't
Oh well, there's always next year ...
Glad you enjoyed your visit to our capital city, anyway, though
Always enjoy visiting Wellington! Often at work on Saturday am wishing we were off to Wellington afterwards - but sometimes have other things to instead!
Sound like the parking/traffic was bad then! Was that all because of Armageddon or just how is usually is anyway?
i was gonna go to that but the Welly traffic now is gridlock on a Saturday morning? yes
the Stormtroopers and Darth Maul are from Levin, my workmates
yes very nice weather. i hope its nice for Anzac day parade too. im taking my 2sons, just organising their grt Grandfathers war medals so they can wear in respect of Him
I'm loving all this great weather ... about time!
Final gig/cd release party for Stingfish on May 5th at Valve bar. Great lineup in support including the awesome 'Nine Signals' and the better-than-blindspott 'Hellserpoppin'

Such a nice Sunday afternoon, decided I wanted to go for a boat ride. So went to Foxton, the tide was so low, that we got stuck on a sand-bar - twice. The second time, a local in a row-boat pulled us off! That was the end of my ride up the river!
really cold down here in Wellington
Cold in the Manawatu too! Typical school holiday weather!
Was going to Wanganui yesterday, but didn't because weather forecast was wet and windy - ended up dry and sunny! So was mad I didn't go! Since when should you believe the weather forcast!
