But today got a suprise package from Arizona! A CD of all the songs Chris Daughtry sung on Idol as well as the album songs on it! With Daughtry stickers decorating it and a lovely letter about being friends and staying that way - from another Daughtry fan I've got to know!Smiling

Something that I feel really good about - rather than good news I've had!

I've just resigned from something I've been committed to for far too many years! Wanted to do it for ages, and finally something happened that made me decide 'that's it'! Sent e-mail letter of resignation just now and feel reallly good now that I've finally done it!Smiling

yay i know that freedom feeling especially when belonging to clubs, Groups etc. no more hassle

I'd lke to resign from work and get my Super paid into my Bank a/c. we still have resignation payments on our plan

Lucky you Firefox. Tell us more!

Good to see you back here by the way!Smiling

firefox 12 November, 2007 - 7:38pm

It's a conducted tour with people my own age - 10 of us going plus the Tour Directors - husband and wife from Christchurch - who do tours all over NZ and overseas - and then there'll be - including us - 1900 people aboard ship - cruising from Auckland - we fly to Auckland the day before and stay the night in Auckland then board the ship at 4pm the next day - 23 July 2008 - cruising from there to Lifou as our first stop - which takes 3 days to get there from Auckland for a start - then on to Vila - Capital of Vanuatu - and then round the corner to Mystery Islands and then 3 days back to Auckland again from there. A 9-day Cruise and HEAPS of activities on board the ship. There's movies, shows, discos, parties, quizzes, karaoke - won't be doing that Ben Lummis hehe! Also Latin and Ballroom dancing - really want to try those - among the many other things - a library and internet cafe on board, ice-cream bar, pools, whirlpools and the list goes on.

I know of someone that went on a different Pacific Islands tour with P&O cruising on the Pacific Star - different ship to ours - and took a couple of books to read but never read them as there was something sun-up to sun-down every day on the ship. I got told to check the ship newspaper - we get one every day in our cabins - either last thing the night before or first thing next morning - to decide on what activities I wanted to do.

I just wish it would hurry up and come now. People are saying to me that once Christmas has been and gone the time will fly. Mind you time flies when you are having fun too Sad Smiling

yay for Suzy-Q! hope you meet a nice Islander dude Smiling platonic ofcourse

firefox 13 November, 2007 - 4:27pm

Why make it platonic Chevy dude when you can go the whole nine yards - jolly good idea of yours by the way - as they say 'Where there's life there's hope' and I certainly live in blimming hope. Sticking out tongue

I thought of a 'Love Boat' type romance myself actually, when I knew I was going on the Cruise!

I'll certainly be checking out the talent Chev you can bet your boots on that one. Smiling Eye-wink

Put me back on as a friend of yours on Bebo. I'm back on there now and be good to keep in touch. Smiling

Sounds awesome Firefox. A dream holiday indeed.Smiling

Don't know what you think of Chevy's idea. Never know though.Eye-wink

firefox 13 November, 2007 - 4:31pm

I think it's a blimming good idea of Chevy's, Loyal, is what I think. I even thought of it myself when I knew I was going on the Cruise, although checking out the men ON the boat rather than OFF it, but you never know one of the crew might be an option, or one of the passengers, I actually thought of checking out my fellow male passengers but I'll make jolly sure first, at first dinner sitting, that any 'possibilities' are dining ALONE first. Smiling

Wish me luck on that one my fellow bloggers.

Loyal 14 November, 2007 - 11:08am
www.daughtryofficial.com

Good on you Firefox!Smiling But stay away from the crew - they'll just want a quick pick-up for the trip.Sad

firefox 15 November, 2007 - 8:33pm

I'm not SERIOUSLY looking at anyone but if someone decent showed interest and all the lights were 'go' then well and good. Certainly wouldn't consider the crew though. Sad

Thanks for the advice Loyal, and Chevy. Smiling

lol reminds me of gilbert o'sulivans song: alone again naturally. Islanders are nice and mainly Christian religion
what to do: start rehearsing topics of conversation without the cheesy pick up lines...
.Hi where in the World are you from
.have you been to New Zealand
.do you like this cruise so far
.what islands are you looking forward to stopping off on
.ive gotten over my sea sickness lol
.do you notice the hot weather
.i think we've been overcharged for this cruise

guys sense if a person is trying to hard and may switch off as theres no challenge. so the basic neighbour/ workmate/ friend chat is an easy way to make people feel comfortable and open up to a friendship with a new person Smiling guys are humanbeing and like the 'everyday normally' type coversations

bon voyage Smiling

firefox 15 November, 2007 - 8:46pm

But thats not good news. oh well.

Must share the news of an exciting parcel I got yesterday - but first the background to it!

Last week I sent a message to Joe at The Edge asking her to play 'Over You' by Chris Daughtry. Got a phone call and spoke to Joe - on air! Then she played it just for me.Smiling That was exciting enough, but she also said she'd see I got sent something.

Then yesterday I got a package containing 5 CD's.Smiling Included one I'd wanted - 'Who are we' by
Lifehouse. Especially happy to get that because on his last web-blog on daughtryofficial, Chris had said he recommended it and that he's been listening to all the time on the road. Had planned to buy it and love it!

Also got latest albums by Thirty Seconds to Mars, Plain White T's, Sean Kingston and Icky Thump - whoever they are!

Really, really appreciated and I thank the Edge and Joe!Smiling

chevy 7 September, 2007 - 11:27pm
AsiaPacific

wow lucky you! thats nice of joe Smiling icky thump is a song by The White Stripes. I downl.... it the other day.
The Edge is not my cuppa tea untill they have no repeat workdays so i dont get to hear the same song every hour Sticking out tongue

The Rock rulz!! Nick and Rodg

Loyal 10 September, 2007 - 3:20pm
www.daughtryofficial.com

Found out about White Stripes now. That it's a group - not Icky thump which is the name of a song.Eye-wink
See they're nominated in the MTV video awards which is on this week under Best Group I think it is.

Daughtry is too with 'Home' nominated for Monster Single!Smiling

Anyway, found a happy home for it with my son, who knows all about it and is into it! I played some of it and found it not too bad and better listening that the Plain White T's album which is quite ordinary. But I'd already offered it to him before I played it.
