There have been rumours going on for ages that Apple is releasing a new full-screen video iPod soon, eg, see HERE. The 'wheel' control is supposed to end up being on the screen of a touch screen.

Who knows...but I wouldn't shell out on a current video iPod just yet.
The new ones just *might* be out by Christmas, or perhaps the start of the new year.
