All those dance moves paid off for Matt. He danced himself all the way to Rarotonga for 5 days.
When they showed Matt's dance moves he looked quite funky, he has got all the right moves. Way to go Matt.
Out of all the awards tonight Matt won the best one - Trip for 2 to Rarotonga.
The other awards tonight were a bit shabby - the guy who sang in the bathroom was awarded a plate and the other scary guy who screams really badly got a little trophy.

Watching the Show again Matt thought it was a joke when he went to receive the award that's why he said "thanks for the sarcasm".
It wasn't until Dominic said Matt had won a trip to Rarotonga for 5 nights that Matt realised it was a real award.
I don't know why Aroha was up for the award all she did was strut across the stage or move her head. I'm sure if the other Idols knew there was going to be a prize for best groover they would have danced their butts off.
Well that just confirms for me that the whole competition was a big farce. Who voted for that prize - obviously not anyone who had a sense of rhythm or a brain for that matter. Ben, and even Aroha, were so much better at moving than Matt - he reminded me of someone who had trod in dog poo and was trying to shake it off their shoes. Anyway, we will see in the future who has the last laugh - he who won all the prizes or the real talent from the competition ie Indira and Ben!
Ben should've won this and I screamed so last night. Stupid. Matt can't dance. He's a bouncer/kicker on repeat.
I got the feeling it was rigged. Not everyone got flash prizes and was not the best dancer. He reminds me alot of 'Sully' on Monster's Inc
boring prizes for the other two.but Matts a big guy and he can dance so that is the best prize for annual awards.um i think they are copying american idol 5 grand finale this yearike the awards,the outfits, the theatre and the dom speech at the beginning

Matt's bouncing and Aroha's stage-walking (no offense) were very much outshone and BEN coulda taken me to Rarotonga! (was that what the prize was?)
