That's unbelievable, can't understand why they said money, car and album then, and that would come under false advertising not only for the public but the contestants too, would it not?

Anyone know if there has ever been another case of a winner being tossed from their record label a year to the day of their win?

That's a shame about the winner not recording an album. That's why prizes of $50,000 and a car are up for grabs. I thought it was too good to be true, the money, car and a recording contract.....so this year the winner doesn't get a recording contract. Oh well, the money and the car is a fabulous prize. Do the Idol album's sell well in NZ? Maybe they don't and it's only the new single that sells well over here. Anyway, I'm tired and it's time to hit the sack. Sometimes I can stay on here for hours because the time goes by really fast and next thing I know it's 2a.m. way past my bedtime but it's beginning to be a regular thing, going to bed at 2a.m......what a life.

Rikke Emma Niebuhr (born in Ã…rhus, Denmark) is a singer who rose to popularity as the winner of Idols Denmark 2, the Danish version of Pop Idol. Rikke won with 65% of the total vote against Louise Baltzer Jensen.

But considering it is insinuated that they WILL get an album, or that the public thinks they will..is kinda sucky on NZ Idols part.

I've never heard of any other idol winners who didn't get an album. Seriously...NZ Idol this year has issues.
