I was massively disappointed very sad well actually PISSED OFF when my fave contestant Clinton got voted out. Well Kali deserved to go NOT Clinton.I cried with all my heart when he was out.It totally ruined my night boo! I do hope I meet Clinton one day . Clinton rules and he'll go on TOUR.

grapefruit 13 September, 2006 - 12:07pm

I think LENKEN was robbed big time!!!!

miss_chaos 12 September, 2006 - 9:03pm
YOU ARE A syphillis SO PISS OFF

I don't think he was robbed, Clinton was a great guy but was not making the grade vocally every week. If he did not go this week, he would probably go next week. I wish him all the best in his radio presenting career Smiling

knowitall 12 September, 2006 - 8:59pm

yep,for sure,Clinton had no right to leave just yet,bit of a shocker really.Dont get me wrong,he wasnt about to win this but im sure ben, kali and toni are feelin just a tad guilty.it should of been one of them, never fear, there days are numbered,i just hope the voting public are realistic from here on in otherwise we may lose one of our finer performers eg,aroha, indira

Pigeon Army 12 September, 2006 - 6:43pm
Phillip Seymour Hoffman=my idol.

Yes, Clinton was robbed. He has been the more consistently good performer over the competition compared to Kali "I'm the only South Island contestant, give me sympathy votes". And I think that is what happened. And this is why Idol infuriates me. Because the public who know it's a waste of time to vote know more than the boppers whose mummies and daddies buy them phone cards when they waste $20 on txting for Ben.

Blah on Toast 12 September, 2006 - 8:02pm
Im as cool as a cool person. XD

Hmmm. Are you joking about Clinton being a consistantly good performer? :S

Pigeon Army 14 September, 2006 - 9:58pm

Being a more consistently good performer than Kali. He wasn't much of a performer at all, in my opinion. He just deserved to stay ahead of KALI.

Yes, Clinton was robbed. I nicked his hairgel.

Bellam 12 September, 2006 - 6:39pm

Yup, my hair sticks up for much longer now.

Jaynee 12 September, 2006 - 6:01pm
I see Sam's Town now!

Glad he's gone, I started getting bored of him. Kali will probably be next though.

Bellam 12 September, 2006 - 6:16pm

Clinton took a risk and tried to extend himself and he has paid the price for it.  Ben on the other hand played it safe and choose a song that would not extend his singing hence he is still there.  He has no great singing ability but he is still there because he caught the "Murphy pretty boy vote".

Clinton is far better than that.  This time next year NZ will have forgotten most of the final ten but you wait and see Clinton is no fool, you will see him again.

shesallbad 12 September, 2006 - 4:12pm

ohh so sad....clinton was my fave from the beginning :( (his smile just made me melt! Eye-wink haha)  sure he didnt have the strongest voice, but he had the overall package to me. I certainly prefer him more than Ben! Nothing against Ben, but Clinton was a better singer, looks better, performs better - I just personally don't understand how Clinton went before him. Its a shame that he was tipped the winner in the beginning, it works against them if they are cuz people automatically presume they're a favourite and dont vote for them. Anyway, I'm sure Clinton will be snapped up for something, cant wait to see what becomes of him.

hams_coconut 12 September, 2006 - 4:11pm
>>Lavina Williams should have won Australian

well its looking more like a female is going to win NZ Idol

Abbie 12 September, 2006 - 4:03pm

Yay I'm so glad I don't have to listen to him again Smiling I actually wouldn't have minded him so much if he fixed his tuning.

I think his comment last night about stealing Dom's job is actually a good idea as he would probably be a great presentor! I don't mean he should actually steal Dom's job lol.

I was really surprised - and sorry - to see Clinton go so early.  But then his performances lately haven't done much to make people think how good he is and want to vote for him on that.  I would still have liked to see more of him though.

Mind you, performances aren't always the reason someone stays in.  That's why I was so surprised that Clinton went.  Thought he had a lot of support because of his personality.  He certainly wasn't the worse singer - as was noted by one of the judges!

Just shows how anything can happen!  From favourite to being eliminated in the first few weeks!Sad

Let's all punch & kick Kali.
So, so mature.
When will stupid people realise it's not the fault of the other contestant who's in the bottom 2?

I agree, that comment was so stupid and uncalled for!Sad

Kali didn't do anything wrong, she did her best and wanted to stay as much as Clinton did I'm sure.

Seahorse 12 September, 2006 - 12:28pm

Clinton coped so well last night, that shining personality really came through.  I'm sure he will have many offers waiting for him - he would make a great TV presenter

Emma P 12 September, 2006 - 12:16pm

Omg i so did not think clinton would of gone so early in the comp

Bellam 12 September, 2006 - 12:22pm

Clinton will benefit greatly from his time in idol as he has so much potential.  Many others even those who make it to the end will fall off the radar.

Aroha would do well to develop a similar personality.  She has the voice but little else.  I hope for her sake she has the maturity to learn and grow.

He so could have won it..I mean you never know and now we will never know..now I'm going to vote for Ben like crazy..should've done the same for Clinton...

stolenangellove 11 September, 2006 - 11:36pm

*is a can opener*

How exactly was Clinton robbed?
For the first time since I can remember, I actually agreed with the voters - or lack of Eye-wink

Kali will be gone next week - no biggie.

Texas 11 September, 2006 - 10:30pm
People are difficult to govern because they have t

I saw this coming. At some point, the voters will have to choose between Clinton and Ben and they obviously picked Ben instead of Clinton.

AJB4 11 September, 2006 - 10:01pm

Yeah Kali should've gone she sucks.

Bellam 11 September, 2006 - 10:10pm

The fact that Ben is still there highlights why most of the country have lost interest in idol.

Perhaps they should change the name to NZ Popularity Idol.  Where do all those kids get the money to vote ?

idoltoday 11 September, 2006 - 10:27pm

you still seem pretty interested bellam!

and just because they're kids doesn't mean their votes count less than yours!  they might actually buy the idol winner's album so i think their votes are very important!!!
