I also think the group song will be Im still standing, as Becks said she couldnt choose this song for the week as it was unavailable as someone else had chosen it.

I think Becks has chosen a risky song, but the point is, she has made very safe choices so far, so I think it is great that she has chosen this song. I think her voice will suit it and she will pull it off!

I'm really worried about Yellow Brick Road - I didn't think anyone should pick that song.
I was talking to her on Friday and she said she'd thought about it but wasn't too happy or something. I can't quite remember. She hadn't decided on a song then. I hope she does really well then cos she seemed a bit worried.
I think Becks is the only one who could pull it off.
Why are people worried about Yellow Brick Road?
It's kind of a classic, untouchable song. Everyone's going to compare your version to Elton's, and it'll never come close. For that reason, its a dangerous song to pick.
However, when Jesse and Steve did classic U2 anthems for 80s week last year I thought the same thing and those perofrmances were two of their best from the whole season, so sometimes the risk pays off. If you stuff it up, you're almost inevitably gone.
It's kind of a classic, untouchable song.
It's not so much that, but more the range of the song. The whole appeal is the switch in the male voice during the chorus - it's not something that a woman's voice can do. The other problem is that the chorus is a myriad of backing vocals...not sure that Suzy and Sandy are up to it.

I mean: in my opinion it wont be a good night cause i wont be able to compare the contestant with the original song -and i cant sing along to it (remembering the Queen themed night on American Idol- argh)
But i guess your right. There are so many songs over the years on different idol shows that i never heard before but loved it after a few listens- eg. Australian band George- sung by Casey and Hayley in season 2 Australian Idol. I have never heard of George but the two songs i do know are great!
