Chat: Questionable Domain Names (May be offensive...)

Submitted by Nellie on 14 August, 2006 - 1:03pm.

What where they THINKING???

All of these are legitimate companies dealing in regular products and services, but they didn't think their domain names through!

Take note of their 'Domain Names'! Some of them are prime candidates for the "What was I thinking?" Award!

ALL of these websites actually exist, selling something totally
benign, (and work - safe, in case you're wondering).

1). A site called 'Who represents' where you can find the name of the agent that represents a celebrity. Their domain name is: http://www.whorepresents.com

2). 'Experts Exchange', a knowledge base where programmers can exchange advice and views at: http://www.expertsexchange.com

3). Looking for a pen???? Look no further than 'Pen Island' at: http://www.penisland.net

4). Need a 'therapist'???? Try 'Therapist Finder' at: http://www.therapistfinder.com

5). Then of course, there's the 'Italian Power Generator Company': http://www.powergenitalia.com

6). And now, we have the Mole Station Native Nursery, based in New South Wales: http://www.molestationnursery.com

7). If you're looking for computer software, there's always http://www.ipanywhere.com

Cool. Welcome to the First Cumming Methodist Church. Their website is http://www.cummingfirst.com

9). Then, of course, there's these brainless art designers, and their wacky website: http://www.speedofart.com

10). Want to holiday in Lake Tahoe?????? Try their brochure website at: http://www.gotahoe.com

Great stuff, I picked them up straight off Smiling that's what makes this website so great, not just about celebrity people but the real life entertaining stuff too, and you all certainly come up with some interesting tidbits day to day too.

My favourite was speedofart I mean what about TC's snart with that, wonder how fast it would register on a speedofartometer thingy! Eye-wink

Can't beat the old IB days

So if you were in a caravan and it was pooring with rain (at night) with no toilet for you to use within many meters, would you sit on the caravan step to urinate?

firefox 15 August, 2006 - 10:59pm

I would hope she would think to dive into a good thick bush where no-one could see her and, more to the point, she would be protected from the rain.  You would do that wouldn't you AOM?
