Heard from a friend that Ashlee will be performing at the pasifika festival in march. Apparenetly singing a duet from High School musical with Nick Afoa and a couple of solo's.

Hi everyone, It;s Ashlee here.   I just wanted to say a quick thankyou for your support. I had an awsome time and met some neat people. I wasn't to sure if I should do this, but just wanted to say thanks as I probably never got to meet yous.

Ashlee is playing Gabriella Montez in the Hamilton's Fraser High School production of High School Musical.

Just read her interview by Idol girl, sounds like she's had fun. Looking forward to seeing her perform again on Sunday.

Ashlee can be very proud of herself - as are her parents!  She's achieved so much more than she ever dreamed would be possible I'm sure. She stood up with the camera on her all the while while people spoke against her, which would have been hard to do, especially for someone so young.  But she took it, and kept smiling. Good luck to her, her life is only just beginning.  She's come so far and must now realise that dreams can become reality if you work for them.

Top 10 is a huge achievement, maybe she would have done even better if just a few years older and with a more mature voice!  Plenty of time for her to keep singing!

Oh crud. Now that IDL's gone, having refused my withdrawal from this fanclub out of what must have been pure, unadulterated spite, I'm unable to get the hell out of this fanclub. TC or Admin, can you alter this thread so my membership is no longer existent in this fan club?

Hamilton schoolgirl Ashlee Fisher was wearing a big granny nightie which said "I nearly went home" on the back after she survived New Zealand Idol's first elimination show.

It came down to her against Auckland's Victor Sulfa and the Waikato support came through, sending the 16-year-old through to the top nine next week.
But only one per cent of the votes separated the pair. Ashlee's prize was the nightie which Idol contestants have agreed should be worn each week by the contestant who survives the final two.

Robyn Tuki, whose late daughter Klea was Ashlee's best friend and inspiration, said the live show was an interesting experience.

She felt Ashlee gave the Dusty Springfield standard Son of a Preacher Man more "oomph" in last night's live performance than during last week's taping.

"Rock's going to be interesting for her now," she said.

Godmother Jasmin Charteris was also in the crowd.
"The judges are giving her a hard time but they were the ones that put her there. She's got a wonderful voice and I just hope the Waikato people get behind her now."

Mrs Charteris said Ashlee told her she would "step it up" next week.

Interesting comment from Ashlee's godmother She obviously doesn't know how Idol works, cause it wasn't the JUDGES that put her in the top ten ...

Good luck for this week Ashlee, What ever you did on Monday just take it up a notch. Just go and have fun, you have something there you just have to trust yourself. I'm sure that those who care, do.

I would get put off if the judges where saying negative things about me before i preform.. why are they so harsh to ashlee for she is real cooL!

I thought good on Ashlee for still being there, in spite of all the negative comments.

Thought she came across much better on the results show.  Maybe more relaxed.

Well done Ashlee!  Next time hopefully you can go out full of confidence, knowing you're in the top 10 because people want you to be there! Something you only dreamed of before I imagine.
