Matt is Centrebet's $1.66 favourite to join Ben Lummis and Rosita Vai on the NZ Idol honour roll.

The person who wins this year better passionately pursue their career!i mean goodness we don't want another Ben and Rosita!...if the winner this time round isn't that motivated to actually try and kick-start their career as a singer..i will be deeply dissapointed..i mean what would be the point of this show?..the Idol reputation needs rescueing, so i'm hoping the person who wins will change this
Goodness - that's a bit unfair! :| What do you think Ben's been doing for the last two years?!! It's not like he's been sitting on his backside, not doing what he enjoys doing and not working on creating more music for us to enjoy! I guarantee if you ask anyone who is close to him they'll say he's definitely been "passionately pursuing his career!"
If you look at Centrebet's initial odds, based on who is left, Ben would be the favourite followed by Kali!
September 19:
NZ Idol winner
$3.75 Matt
$4.00 Toni
$4.50 Ben
$5.50 Indira
$6.50 Aroha
$9.00 Kali
Woo hoo! Go Matt
He's gone from being at $67 to win to being the favourite (this week, anyway!)
People are recognising talent!:) He deserves to be there, (so does Toni) but hope it isn't a bad omen for him after what's happened to the favourites this year so far!
NZ Idol winner
$2.50 Becks
$3.50 Indira
$4.50 Matt
$9.00 Ben
$11.00 Clinton
$21.00 Aroha
$26.00 Toni
$34.00 Kali
My favourites still the top 3.
Clinton was one of them too, see he's gone down here too! But I still put him before Ben!
My two favs are at either ends of the odds. Clinton has dropped off a bit eh!
NZ Idol winner
$2.75 Indira (Auckland)
$3.00 Becks (Auckland)
$5.00 Matt (Levin)
$9.00 Clinton (Auckland)
$10.00 Ben (Wellington)
$17.00 Aroha (Mt Maunganui)
$21.00 Kali (Christchurch)
$51.00 Toni (Wellington)
$101.00 Ashlee (Hamilton)
Gosh, hasn't Matt improved in his chances!
He started off at $67!!!
If I was picking now, that's just the order I would put them in as how they would likely be placed - even if Matthew is my favourite right now.
My top 4 favourites are Matt, Indira, Clinton and Becks, with Aroha as 5th!.
Latest odds:
Clinton $4.00
Indira $4.00
Becks $5.50
Matt $6.50
Aroha $11.00
Victor $11.00
Kali $13.00
Toni $15.00
Ben $17.00
Lenken $17.00
Ashlee $26.00
Wiremu $34.00
Id love that to be the top 5, but if Kali was ahead of Victor, that would be my favourite six. Then Victor, Toni, Ben/Lenken and Ashlee i would like to see go before my favourite 6. I dont know how Matt and Aroha will go with the genre weeks, but its so good to see a whole bunch of actually quality voices in this top group
It shall be interesting to see where the odds are at...I have no idea how to rank them!

Hmmmm, makes for interesting reading ...
Well, I'd pick the top 5 just about like that. Can't remember a lot of them after that. Guess you remember the better ones more. Did like Toni though..
Oooh, I like those, especially the top two!!!
geoginas replacement Vicki $34 I think she has a chance of winning
Cameron @ $7 eh?.... hmmmmmmmmm
I hope this doesn't jinx clinton now!!! i'm quite a fan
I'd say yes.. looks good, but I'd put Kali and Ashlee right up there.
I like their odds. Clinton is definately my fav!! he's got the image & ive sung with him before & he is so so great. hes got an awesome voice that is great in all genres. i just hope people remember to vote!! i certainly will be!! YAY GO CLINTON!!!
Heh - to Georgina's replacement being 12th fav - they don't even know who it is !
I'm sure they just draw names out of a hat !!
Over the past episodes, certain contestants have had their fair share of the spot light.
The competition is in its early stages look out for the lights of Stephen from Pahiatua. I've heard him sing and is certainly one of them who earnt his spot up there.
I'd go along with those for top 2 at this stage!
you never know outsiders have to to the front and cleaned up before
Just for reference, their picks after the Top 24 were chosen last year were as follows:

I like their odds.
what i remember from last year is, before the top ten began, no one was talking about teresa, and she had not had much screen time, so I think the odds are to be taken with a grain of salt at the moment, i like the top two, not so happy about cheesy cameron
Yup true. But of their Top 4 from when they chose the Top 24 contestants last year, Nik and Rosita were both in there.
