Regan and I are about to head off for four weeks away overseas and I can't wait! Here's some info about what we're doing on our trip:
18 June Fly to Buenos Aires (~12 hour flight) for about 7 hours and then up to Lima (~4:30 flight). We then spend a few days in Lima.
21 - 29 June Do a tour with Intrepid - tour itinery - we get to spend two nights in the Amazon jungle in a hut, go up and see Machu Picchu (ancient Incan ruins) and other Incan stuff.
1 July Fly from Lima down to Buenos Aires and stay a day and night there.
2 July Fly up to Salvador, Brazil.
6 July I speak at the ICOTS conference I'm going to for work.
8 July Fly to Rio De Janeiro for a few days in the world's most beautiful city!
11 July Fly to Buenos Aires for a few days. Might fly up to Igacu Falls or go across to Uruguay.
14 July Fly home (~13:40 flight) but arrive back at the start of the 16th.
We're likely to check email and come say hi a few times too 
We'll be in Brazil and Argentina while the World Cup semis and grand final are on... will be mad!

Rio is just beautiful! We did a full day tour yesterday and got stacks of pics. We're off hang gliding over the city in about 20 minutes so today should be a blast too!

One word to describe our trip from Buenos Aires to Salvador - Varig. If you don't know about varig then do a google news search. Basically.. they lost our bags. We have them back now but it wasn't the nicest start to our time in Brazil.
Rachel's presentation went well this morning and we have another 2 days here before we head down to Rio De Janeiro for 4 days and then 3 final days in Buenos Aires.
We miss all of you!!

Yes. Varig makes me feel *soooo* special. NOT! Sheesh Kim... Varig are in bankruptcy and have been cancelling flights everywhere... we've had 3 flight changes so far and I have to confirm our flight for tomorrow today. *crosses fingers*

I heard that all and sundry chew the coca leaves - and it helps with altitude sickness - but they stain your teeth and gums - tea would be a better option

WOW!!! The Amazon Jungle is AMAZING!! We saw Tarantulas, Anacondas, Alligators and I even managed to catch 3 Pirhana. 30+ temperatures were FANTASTIC!
More later.. time for bed... we're going to try and change our flights tomorrow and go to Argentina a day early.
Note to self: Dont go to Amazon Jungle.
