Vote for rockstar supernova's new band name??
Didnt they just get one.. well theres some crazy ideas like "supernovalicious" & "Supernovalovedrug" "SUPERNOVACAINE" And heaps more..
They had a myspace form up saying "name our band" where you typed in what you thought the band should be called BUT it had to have had "supernova" in the name somewhere. They have now narrowed it down to a list on tommy lee's myspace. www.myspace.com/tommyleetv .  I personally think its all a joke since they have been though court to get the name "rock star supernova" ..
What do ya'll reckon?

Lukas hit right note from first

Canadian singer Lukas Rossi might have been stunned to win Rockstar:Supernova, but bandmates Tommy Lee, Gilby Clarke and Jason Newsted weren't surprised at all.  'To be honest, I knew it right from the first day I met him," says Tommy.  "As soon as he walked into the audition and sang, I thought, 'That's the guy' and it stayed with me." 

Gilby says he felt Lukas was the contestant to watch and the Canadian became more impressive week by week.  Jason took longer to be totally won over.  "I loved Lukas from the beginning but I wasn't convinced until the second-last show, when he sang his song 'Headspin' and I realised his true potential."

So looks like they'd made up their minds anyway, and all that money spent on voting was really a waste of money!

I just can't believe it's finished... This week has been so weird without it!

I found out that the contestants had to have previously toured and recorded to be eligible to compete. Probably why the standard was so incredibly high!

Kind of OT, but watching the video clip for 'Afterglow' is hilarious! You see a topless (and extremely hot) JD with a half naked, hot chick for the majority of the song and then at the very end, a bunch of scraggly old guys step out of the shadows, looking all staunch. LMAO! It gets me every single time.

Man I'm going to miss this show ... it's my favourite thing on Television

I hope Lukas goes on to much bigger things than Supernova. He's friggin' LEGEND.

Not happy with Lukas winning - but thank goodness Dilana gets a chance to come out on her own!!

Looking back at everyone, the ones I liked were Dana, Zayra and Ryan.

Didn't like Zayra at the beginning, but she grew on me, and if found myself really liking her in the end. She was fun and I had to laugh when they showed her comments again about the music by the band in the past, and her being in daipers!:)  Especially liked her after hearing her own song and the gracious farewell speech she gave.

Glad to see Ryan having success already.  Good luck to him.  Hope we get to hear of him in this country!

So Lukas won!:(  Didn't care really who won - so long as it wasn't Lukas!  Just thought 'yuk' every time I saw him!:( 

Mind you, his speech about why he though he should the one was the best put.  Toby seemed to treat it all like a joke, was probably too confident, and then spoke about how good he'd be with a few beers in him first! Didn't think that did much for him.

Really expected that Dilana would be the one when only the 2 left!  Think she did too!  Should have been! She's obviously going to get a lot of support and will probably do better on her own anyway.  As will a lot of them. Not actually winning gives them a huge fan following and exposure, and they don't have to do what this band would want them to. 

So now Supernova certainly is one band that I never want to hear or see again!:( 

I don't need to summarise as it's been done by 'rockboy but a few things:

Dilana singing 'Roxanne'....WOW! Freakin' goosebumps every.single.time. There were three standout perfomances this season - that was one of them, 'Dolphins Cry' [accoustic] by Magni was another and Dana singing 'High Road Easy' was the third.
I've taped them and watch them over and over and over...you get the idea.

I voted for a solid hour on Wednesday. Dilana, Magni, Dilana, Magni.... it was nice to see that Dilana was safe initially

I knew Magni would be the first to go home - but I wasn't expecting Toby. In fact, I really thought he was going to win it! Interestingly enough, on Dave Navarro's blog, he *predicted* a Lukas/Dilana final before the show was aired :S

I definitely think the right person won the gig. I never found Lukas entertaining, his epileptic fits on stage were more annoying than his weird eyebrow thing AND his o shaped mouth when hitting the one big note combined. But then Supernova can't write a song to save themselves and they've already written the album LOL! which means Lukas has to sing it.
Storm, Magni, Dilana and Toby have all the exposure they need but they also have the freedom to do their own thing.
So yeah, pretty happy with the outcome!

LOL! at Ryan winning the car and Brooke trying to be excited while reading the autocue... but then I don't think they hired her for her intelligence

Ah, the Supernova Final. I sat down at 7:30pm knowing that many questions would be answered for me that night: Were Supernova saving their best material for the end of the finals show? (No) Was Brooke Burke hot enough for me not to get angry at her saying 'And we'll find out after the break?' for a whole two hours? (Surprisingly, No) Would I feel like it was worth calling in sick to work so I could watch? (Yes, I thoroughly recommend wagging work for such monumental events ... unless you're a heart surgeon or something).

Anyway, a whole hour of 'behind the scenes' and rehash. Yada, yada, yada. How quickly I had forgotten most of the contestants!! :| Except Dana and Zayra. Dana still seems unaware that she is my future wife I figure that even if she hooks up with Toby I'll be able to break them up

The big thing I got from it was that the editors could finally show how much of a pain Lukas was I guess it was available through the 'webisodes' but like most of the oldies watching the show, I have no idea how to use crap like that and my first answer to computer problems is to thump the CPU with my fist. So I think Dilana really got the shafting in the editing - and I'm still convinced it was because they didn't want a female singer. Like I've said before, if it wasn't a big deal to them they wouldn't have said "I can totally see a female fronting our band!" practically every show.

So we finally get to the good stuff. My big surprise is ... no one really seemed too bothered that they didn't get in Supernova

Magni and Toby in the bottom two - great performances by both. I'm really surprised at Toby's inclusion considering his great original and girl appeal. Magni goes first, he's really nice about it and doesn't seem too fazed. He says he wants to be in the 'house band' ME TOO!!! Magni might not win Rockstar Supernova, but he wins in terms of having a great little family, a great personality, a great attitude and being able to seriously rock.

Toby, Lukas, and Dilana perform. Lukas opens his mouth for 'Bittersweet Symphony' and gives it that little extra. Dilana does her thing that she does well. Toby is the weakest and is starting to look nervous.

Toby goes. Lukas raises his eyebrows (for the first time in ages you see that there is two instead of one) Dilana doesn't seem surprised. I'm surprised. Toby gives a gracious exiting speech, I like him a little bit more after that. He doesn't seem too worried that he hasn't got the gig either.

Lukas and Dilana are left. Lukas looks like Dilana's little brother Tommy says 'We have to listen to our fans' Everyone shouts out 'Dilana' They say they're giving it to the person with the most votes. While it is mathematically possible that Lukas was in the botton 2 at some point in the night (Dilana was the only one who wasn't) and still have the most votes, I'm not convinced. They wanted Lukas, but they had to think of a way of saying it that wouldn't get them booed off the stage.

Lukas is declared winner. Supernova go into damage control and focus all their attention on Dilana, offering her the job of fronting the 'House Band' (excellent business sense - get the fans of both Lukas and Dilana along to the shows) and Gilby offers to write and produce Dilana's album (dollar signs flash in his eyes ... let's hope he can write better songs for her). Dilana is happy - she escapes Supernovas grasp too.

So Supernova get up to play. Dave's comment that Lukas has 'One foot in the past, one foot in the future' echoes in my ear. He makes a better job of the original Supernova track that Toby initially sang, and struts around doing his thing. Magni joins them onstage to play guitar for their last song.

My two favourites Lukas and Magni up on stage!! My mouth hurts from grinning. It's a shame they didn't ditch Supernova for the House band though

Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed the whole season!!!!!! Sure I b*tched and moaned occassionally, but it was great entertainment and I saw some awesome performances.

Brook plugged 'Rockstar 3' auditions at the end of the show. I said to my mate that I'd audition if they do it here and only if Lukas wins. So there you go. I can't sing but I swear I'll do it

I agree with Magni going first, and Toby going second... but then I really thought they made a mistake not choosing Dilana for their band!

Oh well... It's their own fault.. Dilana was the only one original enough to hold them strong in the charts... I think she got the best prize anyway.. coming second, and being offered a tour AND her own album with help from Gilby and co., so that way she gets her own success and doesn't have to have Supernova attached to her name!
