The Sunday News has published an exclusive article about NZ Idol runner up Michael Murphy's heroic act to save 19 year old Auckland sales rep Vanessa King during a brawl outside a bar at the Viaduct recently.
Vanessa was knocked over, busting her head open on a concrete post. Michael ripped his shirt off and put it on her head to stop the bleeding and waited with her until the ambulance arrived.
Vanessa spent the night in hospital recovering after receiving several stitches. "I suppose he is my hero" was Vanessa's response to what happened.

Ive witnessed situations like this, where some Dawnraid colleagues were at a popular club on Queen St, and a fight broke out, and the immediate reaction from them were, they had to flee - yet in this instance, the fight was caused by them. Im serious, infact I think they were celebrating an album release of DJ sirvere.
