Elizabeth Masterson (Reese Witherspoon) is a dedicated, workaholic doctor who is way to busy for a life. One night, she gets into a horrible car accident and becomes a spirit stuck between heaven and earth. She doesn't know she's dead and thinks nothing has happened until she meets David Abbot (Mark Ruffalo), a lonely architect, who rents her old apartment. David thinks he's crazy by seeing Elizabeth's spirit and tries all ways to get rid of her, but she just won't go away. Although the two are complete opposites they somehow may just form a relationship. more

Oh I totally forgot to tell how the movie was! I LOVED IT! Reese Witherspoon is so different in this movie compared to others she's not the bubbly ditz she's played in the past nor is she the innocent woman either she's loud and I just love it! Mark Ruffalo *drrols* was great as the depressed new tenant of the apartment that used to be owned by Reese's character. They movie is totally a cute movie so anyone wanting to see a really great drama blah blah blah dont go to this! But if you just love something that is alittle predictable at times, that is oh so sweet and will make you feel so good at the end GO SEE IT!

I'm torn with this movie. It's unashamedly a chick flick, but there are some damn funny moments in the trailer, and I'm a large fan of Reese Witherspoon (Hollywood's most underrated actress). And there's some terrible quality to chick flicks that just draws me to them (damn you, View From The Top and Shakespeare In Love!). However, the fact that bloody Napoleon Dynamite (I forget the actor's name) is in the film may cause a little more deliberation.
Reese isnt so underrated not since Walk The Line (which everyone should see when it comes out) she does amazingly in that and even got a Golden Globe nod! But I do understand where it's coming from i'm going to see this tonight and im a huge fan of all 3 actors so it should win me over no matter what!
