Well Lauren and I were sure there was a signing like last year, so we went to the Meridian at about 10 (so we could be first in line ) and found out that there wasn't. So we walked around for about 3 hours, going everywhere we though might be hosting a signing, and found nowhere. So we thought we'd start going around the hotels, and asking where they were staying We didn't end up finding the hotel though

Anyway, we were really gutted because the day before we had been told we had won VIPs to the show, but ended up only being given normal tickets. :s So behind the Regent (hours before the show) I found this guy, who said the only way we could get them was if the radio station called and sorted it out, so went went over the Radio Otago House, and went to see if they could do something. They couldn't.

So then this guy gave us a tour of the studios and stuff (because Lauren said she wanted to work in radio when she was older) and we got to hte MoreFM one, and Glen (my old sort of friend who used to recognise my voice because I won so much stuff off him ) gave us the MoreFM VIPs because their winner couldn't go!

And we were soooooo happy and we got his autograph (LOL) and photos with him and we just sat in the studio with him for about 2 hours and we got to spin the wheel that gave somebody a $1000 Pascoes voucher

Then we went to the VIP session and saw Ahmad and Rini and Ayoub (their gorgeous little boy), and we went in and the idols came out to see us And Steve saw my STEVEN sign and my tshirt and loved it... until he saw the "Hamill Pie" sign.. that freaked him out a little

Ashley and Rongo saw my tshirt and Ashley didn't appear to be particularly enthusiatic about Idolblog, but she was really nice! Rongo was sooooo cute it was adorable. And Teresa was awesome she had laryngitis so she only ended up doing one solo song (which was a pity) and when i aksed if it was Going Under, she said "Sadly no. It's quite a vocal work out :(" but she did an awesome job when she did sing

And Nik was just wow. He was absolutely gorgeous! He is soooo cute in person.. he's kinda pointy like a elf and I just about died when he hugged me he loved Tuikiwi's booklet thingy And Rosita was awesome, she absolutely loved Lauren's tshirt

Then they all left (I got photos with them all ) and I got a photo with Ayoub (awwww he was adorable!!) and then we all went and sat down. Before the concert started we saw Miss_chaos and said hi.. apparently Steve got her a free ticket

Then the concert started.

They all came out and sang Glorifilia, and (to my shock) it was really good! One of my favourite group songs that they did They continued on to sing Life is a Highway, then all but Nik, Rosita, and Steve left the stage and they sang How Will I Know which was amaaaaazing (possibly helped by the fact that I love the song).. then Steve left and Nik and Rosite did Upside Down. That was one of the five best performances of the night, I LOVED it

I don't remember what order they came out, but I think it was Rosita first, she sang Golden (backed by Ashley and Teresa) and then Dangerously in Love. Golden was fantastic

Then out came Nik, to sing Let's Stay Together and, erm, another song that I can't remember :$

He then introduced Steve as the man who broke the applause record in Invers the night before and out came Steve singing Spin About 8 or so of his hardcore fans (including me and 2 others from St Hildas) jumped out and ran to the front and started bopping up there We were soon joined by another 80 or so people who all went crazy over him And then he sang Walls and wow. He was amazing. And I'm just going to bop now.. he touched my hand

Then out came Teresa singing Foolish Games which was awesome. Much as I would have loved to hear her sing Going Under, it was good enough that I wasn't in the least bit disappointed

Then Ashley came on (it might have been Rongo, but I don't remember the order) and sang Everywhere which was amaaaazing she kept going to randoms up by the stage and singing to them which was really cool

Then in came Rongo with Get Into My Car and you could just see how much fun he was having - a pleasure to watch he might have sung something else as well, but I'm not sure...

Around here there was a break, and after the break (or maybe just before) they all came out to sing The Reason, and Steve saw Miss_chaos and did a little "Oh hi!" thing.. it was cute and his hair was so hot! It was sitcking out everywhere.. kinda bouffy

Then at some stage Nik and Rosita sang a song that Nik did on the show, and Ashley sang Listen to Your Heart which was one of my favourites from the night (possibly helped by the fact that I love the song ) and when she held out her mic for the audience to sing along, almost no-one did.. as Miss_chaos said, "no-one knows it.. it's from the 80s"

The Ashley introduced "our winner" and Rosita came out to sing 4 songs - none of which were particularly memorable except the last, which I remember enjoying

And Rongo sang Colour Me Life, but that was hilarious because most of the audience was looking at Steve (who was backing him) because of his little hand movemetns and jumps and stuff

Then Nik sang (I know I have the order screwed here ) I Believe in a Thing Called Love and he took the hand of a girl from my school and knelt down and went "I believe in a thing called love.." and she was like hyperventilating she was so shocked, it was funny

Then Steve came out and sang With or Without You which was another amaaaaazing performance, and I absolutely loved it He kept looking at Anna (I keep wanting to call her Hamill Pie- the name is catchy ) and she was all excited cos Nik looked at her during one of his songs

Then out came all the guys, singing Smooth and omg it was sooooo my favourite performance I love the song but wow.. it was just soooo awesome (it would have been better if it was just Steve though :s ) and the girls then sang I'm Coming out which was really cool, almost as good as Walking on Sunshine

And then they sang another group song.. (can't remember which )and all but Rosita left so she could sing All I Ask. She was re-joined by them all at the end and they finished it off together

They all exited the stage and people started to leave, but we stayed since we knew there was going to be another Then they all ran back out and did Why Does Love Do This To Me? which was another of the best from the night

Then it finished and the lights came back on

And we went upstairs (we didn't get in the long line for autographs) we just stood there talking, and watching the Idols signing stuff.. Steve said hi to Miss_chaos and I mad ehte Idols a thankyou card... I wasn't gonig to give it to them, but I figured since I had no reputaton or anything to uphold (with Steve) anymore,I might as well.. so I got the security gard to hand it to him.

He looed at it.. and looked a little freaked out.. I'm not surprised.. I kindly enclosed my phone numebr.. "just in case Steve [or any of the other idols] felt like saying hi" and then the guard turned and pointed at me so I assume Steve read it..

Then as the line was really short, we joined it and got autographs.. Steve signed Miss_Chaos's arm hamill Pie, Love Steve" and she asked if he'd seen her sign (which she was a *little* embarassed about ) and he was kine, "what?" and I held it up and he was like "oh.. yeah" and I got him to sign my poster, and got a hug.

And Teresa and Rosita were awesome, and when I said thanks they seemed genuinely pleased I'd enjoyed it

It was fantastic so much fun
