Didn't really expect Emily would win, thought that the Aussie girl would win - for that reason! Emily's probably really happy as the success she's had though! Hopefully the Aussie BMG is run better than the NZ version!
What's with all the 3 females winning all the Idol shows lately though! Last 2 Aussie ones, last 2 American ones, and also in NZ!
Thought the girl that won looked a lot like Carrie from American Idol.
I was thinking that myself, Loyal - it must be a phase that everyone is going through that they prefer the female voice, or something ...
I prefer listening to male singers! I rarely listen to female singers - other than on TV and radio of course!
EMILY HAS SECURED A RECORDING CONTRACT WITH SONY/BMG!!!!
YAY FOR EMILY!!!
I don't know how happy I'd be if I were her.. they haven't exactly done much for anyone else :s
hmmm if she hadnt she coulda come over here and done NZ Idol
that would have been interesting..
I would rather have watched the Aussie one, rather than the NZ one - just seems more entertaining.
Anyway...
I heard on the news that a lot of people were posting on OZ Idol websites saying not to vote for Emily, because she was a Kiwi and the competition is supposed to be *Australian* Idol.
Nitpicking if you ask me..
Boo. Unfortunately Emily didn't win. Oh well, life goes on, I guess. At least she doesn't have to release such a dreadful single.
Ah well, we all know the second place getter always does better than the winner anyway ;) LOL
BIMI, what would Ben think? lol. Aww nevermind Emily, coming second is such a great achievement, especially for a kiwi in aussie land. Congrats to you girl.
LOL - I meant to edit that to say "... except in NZ Idol!" ;)
Hmmmmmmmmmmm lol.
Well im going to bed. Good luck to Emily, I did try voting for you here in NZ.
The winner will be announced at about 12:00am NZDT
