We arrived at the studio at 6.15 (we weren't meant to be there that early - but my brother was all "traffic jam" so he left early and drove there fast enough to get me scared.); there were heaps of people already there. I was trying to look out for Abbie, but couldn't find her. :'(
I didn't have enough cardboard to make a "I AM CANTDECIDE/REGAN HAS A BIG HEAD" sign. :'( So gutted. But I still wore my Rosita badge. :D
We were sitting really close to this Nik fan club. They screamed at every word Dominic said.
"After the show, there'll only be 4 left"

Anyway, it was really cool seeing everything, but not on the TV screen. ^_^ Everything was a lot smaller than I expected, and everybody looked the same (I don't know what admin means when she says "Nik is sooo much hotter in real life" :P). There was an Idolblog sticker pasted on the back of the seat two rows in front of me. Baharhar.
It's really weird. Because on TV, it's a lot easier to dislike someone, because you're not seeing the whole person. You're just seeing them on TV. I mean, I'm not best friends with them just because I was in the studio audience, but I noticed some human characteristics about them which surprised me. :P I know it sounds stupid; I hope I'm not the only one that automatically switches to "people-on-TV-are-not-human" mode when I watch TV. :P But I like all of them now better, even Dominic. :P Cos you know it isn't all for show, it was a more natural "thank you" from Dominic when the Nik banshees screeched at him off-air than any of his other "thank you"s.
Nik was burying his head in his hands with embarassment when they were showing him singing (after being asked if he was single) at St Lukes. :P Poor guy. :P Rosita looked reeally nervous. Steven looked like he was ready to die. After he was declared safe, he still looked serious. . :S I wonder what it feels like, being told you're gonna get eliminated but having a whole bopper clan behind you.
Jackie looked extremely emotional, Paul was bonding with Zoe Lucker and Michael Barrymore. Frankie was being Frankie.
Teresa sounds great live. ^_^ And Dom's microphone did a weird echoey-thing during the show. :P

I missed out saying stuff
I missed out saying stuff about the trip in general as well! :S
We were staying in the penthouse suite of Amitees, thanks to AJ :D It’s a gorgeous hotel next to the More Fm building. The owners were sooo thoughtful, cos they watched idol to see if me and my friend were on, printed out information about ice skating since we had mentioned in passing that we were thinking of going the next day, made up the sofa bed for me and my friend so we didn’t have to, and put lavender on our pillows. We got a complementary continental breakfast as well which was great! It was all so personal, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a hotel!
We went next door to see AJ when we arrived, but forgot that he wouldn’t be there till 7pm, but we left a block of chocolate for him with his work mate and she gave us a tour around the studios which was cool. They have a basketball hoop :D We saw Jason from Opshop in the studio since he was on air for Kiwi Fm at the time.
We came back to visit AJ after the show that night and had a funny time trying to get into the building. My friend pushed the button at the gate to talk to him but I think he must have been on air at the time cos he didn’t reply. So I suggested she ring 0800 morefm, and he answered and she’s like ‘Hi I’m Abbie’s friend and I’m standing at the gate’. Lol! So he said he would unlock it and we walked down the ramp to the doors but they were still locked. Then we could hear his voice coming out of the box thing at the top of the ramp and she had to run back up to talk to him. You probably had to be there, but we were pissing ourselves laughing :D
Then we got up to the studio and he came out to chat for awhile. He’s much hotter than the pic in his fan club suggests aye! Mum thought so too :D We showed him our signs and autographs. Then he had to go back on air and told us to come in and said he would talk to me on air but I would have been too embarrassed so said no way :P We listened for awhile and talked about his job a bit then left again. Oh and he must be a good multitasker cos when we arrived he had idolblog up, was listening to more fm (surprise surprise!) and had desperate housewives on mute :D
When we came back the next morning to say goodbye and thank you to Jack (the one who gave us the tour) before we went home, she said AJ had been sick the night before, and Mum cracked me up cos she was like ‘Oh really? He looked pretty good to me!! ;)’
Then we went iceskating before going home. It was such a fun trip! Thankyou sooo much AJ and More Fm!!

Yeah definately! Even though I had heard the studio is smaller than it looks on tv I wasn't prepared for the surprise when it looked so tiny!

Yeah I totally agree with that too. Even though I haven't really liked Steve that much, I felt so sorry for him and Teresa before the show cos they looked so worried. It made me connect with him slightly more or something like that.
We arrived at 6pm and were second in line. Mum was funny but embarrassing when they dropped us off cos she was talking to the young guy at the gate asking if they could let us inside early cos it was looking like rain and it was quite cold outside, and then asking if she could come afterwards with a camera and stuff.
There were these two guys in line just behind us who were talking to the organisers like they knew them. We got told to say hi to them when we were getting seated cos they come to every show and are the biggest idol fans ever, so I asked if they go on idolblog and it turns out one of them is Calendarboi (sp?) :)
They seated us in the middle of the right section (looking from the stage) which was a pretty bung place to be since the camera down the bottom wasn't high enough to see us, and the one on the boom didn't come over our way. And we were behind all these big mumma signs which blocked our view. So much for the benefits of turning up early :s
When we were feeling sorry for Teresa and Steve at the start, we held up the one of the signs we had made of Teresa and Steve with holes for our faces, and yellow wool for their hair, and Teresa saw it and nudged Steve and pointed out our sign to him and they both laughed :D We did the same in the last ad break when we held up our Nik and Rosita version of the same idea and they both pointed too :) I felt bad that we hadn't made one for Jesse since we had nothing against him, but we only had enough real estate sign to make 4, and he would have been the hardest to make since he has facial hair.
We also had a 'Bring Back Filipo' sign and a gold star with Nik written on it, as well as one saying 'Hi Idolblog' which was the only one of ours that got on tv. (I'm happy you liked it Rachel :D Good spotting btw!)
Oh and I got a smile from Teresa in the ads when she was alone on the stools and I cheered and held up the sign again :)
I was so lol @ Nik burying his head in his hands during that clip! So cute. And also at some of their other expressions you don't get to see on tv :)
And it was weird that Nigel cued Dom to start talking when the freaky lady on that on the street clip was still talking, but when I watched the show on video, he didn't start talking until after the clip was finished. Is that normal?
They only signed for 10 minutes (if that) afterwards, which was stink since there weren't many of us there and they could have easily given everyone autographs to everyone who wanted them in a pretty small amount of time. So I only got Steve's autograph which is just my luck since he is my least favourite. My friend got Teresa's as well as Steve's. Oh and we got him to write Alex on a piece of paper for our friend who thinks he looks more like an Alex than a Steve. He seemed confused when we asked him for that lol. Oh and I blinded him with my flash, since Mum and Dad brought my camera outside afterwards so I could take some pictures. He went 'Argh!' when the flash went off in his face. Lol go me... :D And him and Teresa both told us they loved our sign. Jesse stayed on one side of the crowd and Nik stayed on the other side (:'() so they didn't come near us. Rosita had just reached me when they had to go so I didn't get her autograph either. I got some photos of Rosita and Steve (and one good one of him apart from his forehead being cut off :s) and a real dark one of Jesse's back, and Mum took some of Nik and I think Jesse as well which will hopefully turn out ok :)
Oh and there was this handicapped guy standing behind us for the signing who was freaking us out cos he was pushing us around and shouting Rosita's name over and over in a shrill voice. He was scary :(

hehe those guys are great! We met them at the top 6 elimination show and sat with them 'cos they were fun :) i also hung out with them at the St Lukes signing, they are really sweet.

I had a chat with Steve the day after the first top 10 show and he was the most friendly, genuine guy and he even initiated the conversation, if he thought he was 'all that and a bag of chipz' I don't think he would have done so. He's a sweet guy so don't go dissing him because of his personality (which you aren't exactly in a place to judge), if you don't like his singing/performances then that's cool but don't make it a personal issue, that's just lame-o.
