I think all your opinions dont mean anything u are all just jealous if u dont have nething good to say then dont say nething at all. its an awesum achievement to make it as far as ne of the top 10 contestants have regardless of their voices.

Dam people, its getting hot in here! I think nursecandy needs to take all of your temperatures and give you all chill pills...all the contestents have their individual merits, and their downfalls. Idol isn't about who is the best singer or performer, it is about who the public (mostly teenage girls) vote for. But we have to do the best with what we have. And the best to worst are in this order:
1. Keshia
2. Nik - these two have the best vocal ability, they just need to get rid of the nerves, I'd rather buy a CD with a decent vocal sound, you can't see them on CD, and we haven't seen enough of them yet to know whether they have the goods on stage. Wait till they have a live band and more of a stage and choreography and vibe to work with.
3. Teresa - she needs to open her eyes a bit more, and think wisely about song choice, but she has got a quality not many, if any, of the other top 10 have

9. Steven - Steven from Dunedin would have been a better choice.

My top 3 choices are Nik Teresa and Keshia. I think Teresa's voice is the most unique and she will always do well...no matter what.
I hope she wins...but I think maybe Nik has the whole Idol package goin for him. But, haven't we had enough of that whole look.

sorry but i think everyone else is pretty average.
1. Teresa - She looks great, sings amazingly. I dont mind her hand movements
2. Kesia - She's got everything going for her. Maybe let her nerves in too much.
3. Nik - Good performer, but not as unique as Teresa and Kesia. Probably perfect for NZ Idol though.
4. Jesse - Great singer, cool personality. Can't move to well though.
5. Rosita - Voice that sings and sings well.
6. Ashley - Got the shle package, but not much X factor.
7. Frank - Cool performer, but same problem as Ashley.
8. Rongo - Great look, but singing aint up to scratch.
9. Stephen - Average.
10. Shelley - How she got in over Lissel, I'll never know. She is boring to watch and boring to listen to.
On performance not voice:
All the rest cannot be ordered because they are far below Ashley's performance ability.
All the rest (from memory... squeaze me if my memory has failed me) stood on the spot, made some odd hand movements, and did practically not much else.

Look at the whole package....
I am, he might not have the best singing voice, but his voice is still good. His personality when singing surpasses all. He shows emotion and character in his ablilty to captivate the audience with his performing. How many other peopl ein this competition do you reackon can do that. Sure now Teresa cant. If nik put more life behind his performance he would be the man. Whakaarongo ki to korero Ahmad.
In hindsight my comments were harsh. You were merely expressing an opinion, and I was expressing mine. Rongo is nowhere near in the league of Teresa, in my opinion, and that's cool that you disagree

Maori_boy - if you know Rongo personally, then please make sure he sings the right songs.....i like his personality and his voice is good also - just lacks a little confidence. I'm backing the maori boy for this one, and all he needs to do is make the right song choices.....GO RONGO!!!

Settle down, I wasn't being rude, I thought it was good advice for him. I remember thinking his first audition for the judges was really good, but he was most definitely out of tune in the top 24 round. If he wants to go all the way he'll need more votes than just ones from obsessive family and friends, so he would be wise to sing better.
I hate to say this but some Rongo fans can't spell. Maybe you guys should go back to primary before insulting us.
