In NZ Woman's Weekly 9/10/06, article all about Teresa called 'Frankie's Idol  Protege'.

It tells how Frankie Stevens has formed a friendship with Teresa, helping her to secure a job and release a demo, and become her mentor.  He has helped her get a part-time job at his management company, and the company sometimes books her.  She has formed a band, performs in regular gigs and writes songs.  She is still at university, but wants to make a career out of music.

Sadly, I won't be able to go cause I'm out of town on Saturday Sad but hopefully there's a few idolbloggers from Wellington that can turn up for her!

Hayds 17 November, 2005 - 9:31am

Any news on Teresa lately people?

formica 1 October, 2005 - 12:53am

I thought Teresa was the best in the competition, shame about all the zombies out there casting mindless votes.
Frustrating though, I only recently found this site and I can't nominate Teresa as my favourite contestant. That's kind of stupid ...

SoulPatrolBaby 30 September, 2005 - 9:40pm

i liked her,she was unique and different, she should not have gone!

ahmad 30 September, 2005 - 10:49pm

Not on the basis of that particular show anyway Sad It's the story of Idol '05 unfortunately.

ahmad 29 September, 2005 - 10:14pm

I "knew" that Teresa wasn't going to win Idol. I mean, when she didn't make the Top 10 on her first try (round of 24), it was a bad sign that the people in NZ that vote, just were not going to vote for talent like Teresa (preferring to vote for hotness - which is actually NOTness).

I'm not sad that Teresa is out. I think she WILL do better in an environment where she doesn't get dictated to when it comes to what she sings and HOW she sings it. I'm glad Paul has taken her under her wing - he obviously sees what we see in her.

It was always going to be a matter of HOW FAR she made it, rather than whether she won or not. I thought she would be 4th - after Nik, Keshia, and Steve/Jesse. I got it wrong, but I still think 5th is a good achievement.

Thanks for giving us great memories Teresa. Good luck in your future, and hope to hear you on another CD sometime (not just Idol). The last song you sang on Idol rocked - I have the song "in my head"!

Calandaboi 29 September, 2005 - 9:07pm

Im so in. hehe. Go teresa!!!!! you rock hun

Mikool 26 September, 2005 - 10:43pm

NZ Idol completely and utterly sucks now. Teresa was the only one worthy of winning, although in the long term this premature evacuation may be a blessing in disguise for her career as either a singer or lawyer.

I look at the final 4 and feel embarrassed that this is the "best" nz has to offer. I for one will no longer watch the show or visit these forums as I have lost all respect and interest in the show.

Peace out.

ElectionVote06 26 September, 2005 - 10:26pm

Teresa was by far the best, its a good thing she didn't win, the winner of nz idol or any idol never does good anyways  (cept kelly clarkson) lol

EmmaJane 26 September, 2005 - 10:23pm

Have you seen northland boi's sad attempt of hpying Rongo on TERESA'S FAN CLUB? Puzzled A fine example of an annoying fan.

Nellie old account 10 September, 2005 - 2:51am

I don't associate with Rongo fans though. And they don't start unnecessary fights over bad comments made about him.

Dear Teresa Fans

Hello! Hola! Guten Tag! Bonjour! Ka Kite! Nihao!
I would like to say that I'm not going to vote for Teresa or any other NZ Idol contestants anymore because I have lost faith on that show. I'm still a loyal Teresa fan but the show is ripping us off like Telecom, Coca-Cola, Nike, Mobil, BP, Starbucks, McDonalds, Burger King, Wendys, Esquires and more. Keep voting for TERESA! Peace out!

She can still win the show.

You're such a winner.....(and a REAL good supporter)

Filmfreak 7 September, 2005 - 12:53am

But Death_Wish, you have to realise that McDonalds etc. are overseas corporations.

While NZ Idol is promoting New Zealand artists, even though not in the best way, its still New Zealand. We have no other New Zealand 'Variety Show' at the mo.

I seriously think you need to reconsider your decision, or at least your reasoning. I'm not say you need to spend money, but reassess your political stance.

Jacob 7 September, 2005 - 12:06am

Well I think NZ Idol is crap as well, but I will still vote for Teresa each week, I mean, hey, I'm using my parents phone lol

Texas 7 September, 2005 - 12:09am

Good on you, but you do realize that the winner will be around for only a short time amount. I still think that Teresa is a talented person but NZ Idol is not the way to do it. I'm only realizing all these important stuff lately which is a shock for me because I've been wasting my money for about a month now.
