According to the polls, Lissel and Ashley are going through. Third place is too close to call but I expect it'll be Rosita.
Paul says song choice is a big issue. Jackie thought only one contestant flew last week. Frankie thinks it's hard to find the three to go through.

And I think thats the point, whether you like it or not (I don't, exactly, I like her because she has a good voice and performance ability). This isn't just a singing competition.
Actually my point was that her voice is so great and spiffy that even if she sang I'm a little teapot she would of got through.
Why are so many people making it an Ashley vs Lissel competition? It is clear that the top three were announced in no particular order and thus either Rosita or Shelley could have been pitted beside Lissel for the final spot.
The issue isn't Ashley's voice vs Lissels voice in my opinion, but Lissel vs Shelley. That contest Lissel deserved to win.
I enjoyed Ashley's performance, because it was just that. This isn't only a singing competition, I believe our Idol must be able to perform and that is just what Ashley did. It was a strong performance, matched with a strong voice (much stronger than Shelley). Some people may not have liked the song choice, I personally loved it.
In a way Ashley is like Pip... bad song choice, awesome performance. Effort and thought, just a shame the judges didn't pick it.
You obviously didn't see the thread Admin made about Shelley getting more votes than Ashley (oops, almost typed Assley)... Lissel WAS beat out by Ashley or maybe even Rosita, NOT Shelley.
All this biased nonsense is giving me a headache.
Especially because I'd be the first to say that my favourite isn't the greatest singer or performer and I wouldn't defend him to the death. (Although, being the psycho I am, killing someone over something as petty as Idol sounds like fun!)

Reading all the ** that you aare saying about Ashley is just disgusting. She is way more than just a pretty face. She has a great voice she has the looks she has telent and every time I hear he sing I get tingles down my spine. SHE ROCKS! You's just obviously don't know what good telent is.
Do you not think the results were just a big F U to idolblog, given Paul's comments on Sunday. There is no way to actually know how many votes each person received so whats to stop the producers from simply manipulating the results any way they want to. Its pretty clear they feel threatened by idolblog and its excellent coverage and poll predictions.
I thought Ashley did NOT deserve one bit to go through, she can sing but is nothing special, she is a pretty face who is still in school which is mainly why she is getting alot of votes. I was pleased Shelley went through, she got my vote from the Sunday night show, Paul is an idiot and I'm glad he was proven wrong, he can put his card where it fits. Rosita is justified being there. Lissel should be in Ashleys spot but oh well, Ashley should crumble in the top 10. And theres always the wildcard for Lissel. My pick for next week is Nik, Rongo, and Maselina but of course that may change after watching the show! Wait and see

IMHO it's exactly what the Judges and Idol creators are looking for. a true blue NZ grl with a pretty face regardless of if she can sing or not, her looks will take her further and the Idol creators will make sure she gets maximum voice training, coaching to get her to the top.
Well apparently then all "true blue NZ girl(s)" are slappers. They are appealing to noone but the desperate teens and the paedophiles.
Girls don't want to be smacked across the face with someone better looking than them, if girls are the majority vote-makers then it stands to reason that the tall poppy will be cut down with a chainsaw.
