Which city's auditions were filmed first last year? I ask this because I know which order they were shown in on TV (Christchurch and Wellington in the first epidode, Auckland in the second), but I have a sneaking suspicion they were shown out of order.....well, tell me. ^_^

NZ Idol made an excellent decision this year because for them to be able to surpass last year's TV Ratings for the first episode they need to choose Auckland and they did. Why? Because if you can remember Auckland is the most populous city in New Zealand therefore most Aucklanders will be tuning for the very first episode to see if they know someone who auditioned or they know someone and they wanna see if they are on TV. Plus it's winter so most New Zealanders will be in their houses when NZ Idol is on.
Oh good, that hopefully means Auckland will be shown first this year.

They were shown in the order of auditions (Auckland was the final audition location).
No I think that was the order they filmed them last year too.
I remember thinking at the start of this idol 'hmm they're doing Auckland first' but yeah my memory isn't at it's clearest but I have a feeling Auckland were the last ones and I'm hoping they'll show them on tv first this time round.
