Anonymous: unfairly treated

Submitted by Anonymous on 7 June, 2005 - 1:13pm

Very disappointing it was as though they were chosing ten to fail and the next ten to pass, and I can tell it was fairly organised I sing with some of these people in school won many competitions against them only to come to NZ Idols and they are accepted and not I cannot make sense of it.  If the judges are already tired of juding at 8.00am they should have said so than to waste my time.

The purpose of the producers

The purpose of the producers round is to weed out the medicore and keep the extremes: The extremely good and the extremely bad. If you didn't get through, it's because, sad to say, they found your voice to be mediocre, and didn't see anything else about you that would capture the audience. It's all the judges opinion of course, somebody else might've thought differently, but I DO think the crew who were judging knew what they were doing. Trust me, they don't cut great singers to make way for bad ones, but they don't cut bad ones to make way for mediocre ones either. That's just the way it works....horrible singers make good tv.
