The highlight words and click the 6th bottom across (on top of the text box) its also second to last. This should moves words right a little bit
and thats it 
If you want to write more but not in box just click the 5th one across ( with arrow point other way )

Rich text is when you have the buttons at the top of the comment box with bold, italics etc. You have the option in your profile to have it turned on or off. The heart symbol will only work if you turn it off. ie. Not having the buttons up.

Without the rich text? Yup. But you have to know the codes to bold and stuff, and I can't be bothered so I keep mine turned on.
