Well, if its any consolation, I do know that Sir Barney has gone to work and I think Admin has too (night classes). The Critic works funny hours and I don't know about Robyn.

Well they own the site and have gone and got sponsers for the site i think they can do what they want.

if she deletes posts that have anything to do NZ IDOL then why is the thread entilted 'Blah blah blah' still there?. thats just crap, a few of my posts deleted and they had to do Idol, frankly I've given up caring weather my posts get deleted or not, I'm expecting this one to be deleted any second now (maybe).
I dunno, maybe Admin does delete posts cos she duzznt agree with it, or maybe she deletes posts cos she duzznt like the person that posts.

Maybe, just maybe, the people who can delete posts have a life too and are just trusting people to be responsible for a couple of hours?

I have had posts deleted that have nothing to do with NZ Idol - no problem. We now have an Off Topic post just for this stuff.

No, the post was to do with Idol - it was on topic regarding the "important announcement". the weird thing is that a bit where someone had quoted it was still there - I think Admin had had a go at me, someone contradicted her, and then she deleted part of my post and all of hers. I don't know - I wasn't logged in when it happened.

Would be interested in hearing from anyone who was.

I do have a real issue with people just deleting posts because they don't agree with them. I think it goes against the whole spirit of an independent website - it's the sort of thing I would expect on the offical website where they moderate all posts. At least they only delete stuff that's offensive.

Anyone else find it suspicicious that on the night of the idol final so many of the top brass from this website are MIA ...

Or, as music maestro says, maybe they just have lives. I, on the other hand, have the flu.

Just for the record, don't have a problem with them deleting stuff off topic - it is an idol website after all.

Just because Admin didn't agree with the post, I don't think Admin should delete it. Admin is pretty good in this regard anyway.

Admin and the others have given me a bit of room to move which I'm thankful for.

I make nasty posts but most of them stay on the boards as long as I make a good point somewhere in amoungst the nastiness.

The last post of mine that was deleted involved me telling someone to enjoy ***** their mother.

First time I've been on the site since lunchtime I think, been a busy day for me.. just got home with Regan from visiting family. Anyways, the people who have deleted comments on the site are Admin, The Critic and Barney. I have deleted the most of all three by far, followed by The Critic and only a few by Barney when people have been silly while I've been out.

I don't delete posts cos I don't like someone and I don't certainly don't delete posts cos I don't agree with opinions - that's pretty obvious when you see the huge range of opinions on the site.

A couple of times I've accidentally deleted a comment because I click on the wrong link and I've tried to email people to ask them to repost it.

If you want to ask me a question, the best way is to send me an email or just to repost your thoughts if a comment got deleted

I deleted some comments in that topic because things got really heated and a number of people were throwing around personal insults which got out of hand later in the topic. If I stuffed up, I'm sorry and it was nothing personal. I'm human

There are young children who come to this website who get involved in attacking people personally because they don't like their favourite contestant. It does get out of hand sometimes.

I totally agree that hateful and offensive posts should be removed - people who complain that they called someone rude names, and their post was then deleted have not a leg to stand on in my opinion!

I guess what concerned me with this one is that only half my post was deleted - I wasn't there when everyone decided to go jumpy screamy, so I can't judge on whether the reaction it provoked was worthy of removing the comment.

The other bit that concerns me is that in a remaining post on the thread, Admin is quoted responding to what I have said. So my comment wasn't originally offensive enough to be removed, but then later it is ... I guess I also think given that I was absent from the board when all this was going on, it might have been couteous of admin to have emailed me explaining why she had deleted me ...

The question I raised in that post I feel was a valid one, and I would have liked to have seen people's response to it.

personally i like it when all the off topic,personal attacks and foul laungage posts are deleted.admin and co are doing a great job with this site soo dont let it get dragged down with the language and stupid complaints.
