I so can't believe those judges!!!! First of all they shaft one of the best singers in the competition, and then have the audacity to get up on stage and dance around during his final song!!! 
I'm GLAD so many of the audience got up as well and totally blocked them from view LOL
But anyway, back to the start ...
N!K started off the show in style, I thought with his song, and then I kind of fell asleep through Matt, Emily, David and Joe, until BEN did an AWESOME performance to cap the show off brilliantly!!!!! Just watch the viewing stats go down now that HE'S off the show, let me just say that now! He was definitely one of the major draw cards, and I reckon they've missed a trick letting him go instead of Emily, who no one really knows anyway 
I hope all you people who voted for the ones who CAN'T sing are happy now that you've got the mediocre last five that you asked for!!!
I actually started crying when BEN was singing his "elimination" song ... which, by the way, was brilliant and who cares if YOU don't know it, PU!?!?! You're not exactly the market BEN's aiming at anyway!!! I tell ya - it was BEN's performance everyone in the audience was getting into and "carving it up" (as Phil Vaughan is fond of saying) to, not Emily's that's for sure!!!
Anyway, afterwards (after everyone had piled back OFF the stage again which, by the way, is an incredible testament to just how much they love and respect BEN!!!) I went over and introduced myself to BEN's mum, and his little sister who was soooo upset It set me off again too LOL
I tried to cheer her up by telling her that BEN was so much better than this show anyway

Anyway, then Sela and BEN's brother came up and we hung around waiting for BEN to stop signing autographs for his legions of fans! (Ha! How many people asked for YOUR signature, PU??!!)
BEN is so professional and amazing though cause when I hugged him and said how sucky it all was, he said "ah well, it had to end some time." He was SO amazingly relaxed and accepting about it all ... I just hope we haven't seen the last of him in this country; and hopefully someone out there sees just what a legend singer he is and signs him up with some company that will treat him as he deserves!!!

Voters choice i totally agree! it was voters choice that made Ben go way earlier before Matt aye...
Actually that was the judges choice sending Ben off - and the worst one they made.
Honestly though, I always thought Ben got into the bottom 2 because we were told so much what a favourite Ben was that people thought he didn't need the votes as much as the others - the ones that the judges kept saying were threatened. I know I was complacent - sure he was safe, so didn't vote as much, as I'd planned to vote more for him when I thought he'd need the votes nearer the end! Big mistake from me and everyone else who thought the same!
Mind you, nearer the end had decided it was a waste of time and money anyway, as the judges put through who they wanted, whatever the voting indicated. No-one knew the voting would actually pick the winner!
I know. Judges elimination format is totally unseen anywhere. They shouldve went off txt votes to place who actually ended up in bottom 2 according to New Zealand. Alot of good people including Rosie, Ben &Steve were missplaced because of this backwards system??
Totally agree! Certain some or all of those would not have gone when they did if it wasn't for the Immunity - because it was likely they would not have been in the bottom 2!
Then as for the judges well, gave up with them! Sending some of the best home - like they already knew who they wanted to keep so however well people performed, seemed that it didn't make any difference. Steve stood out especially, doing so well on his sing-off, and even the judges saying so, but then still being sent home!
One week the judges sent people home purely on their song-choice for the elimination, then another week sent home the one they had praised most in the sing-off, then another week decided they would go by looking back on previous performances!

The Show will only get a bigger audiene now that its starting to narrow down. Iwas shocked about Ben going as well as Steve and Rosie leaving so early too. David, Matt and Joe havnt visited the bottom yet (haha who wouldve predicted that?), so i think they'll still be the top 3 as Nik and Emily having visited the bottom 2 twice now wont be to far away.
This is New Zealand and the way they vote now. I just have to bite the bullet and accept it But i will NOT accept the way the Judges vote? far.... beats me!

All they have left is a handful of rather uninteresting people. (apart from Nick, who I hope wins it, but doubt it.)
The judges waffled on about it not only being a singing competition, but a search for a 'pop star', and then they chuck Ben out, because Emily showed off her voice better, on one performance. Ben didnt need to show off his voice... he already did that week after week, and clearly had the best voice there, and the most charisma.
Bens performance was so much more 'pop star' than any of the others, by a million miles.

The only reason I was watching it was to see Ben sing every week ... which I'm so glad I got to see TWICE live last night! ... and now that he's gone, there's not really much point tuning in next week 
And I'm sure I'm not the only person who will be thinking this either ... what did Dom say to the judges before they voiced their decision? Something about thinking long and hard about their decision ... clearly they didn't really think about what they were "deciding" at all
Must say, I don't care now - and will just get so mad if Matt continues to be praised and keeps there. The way it's going David could be in the final - an actor, having a go at singing!
Then Nik and Emily have been in the bottom 2 or 3 so often that it's a wonder they're still there. Saved by judges and Immunity.
Joe is the only one I like now. But even her I don't see as a worthy winner of this title.
I think the judges may realsie they made a BIG mistake! By putting out someone who perfomed at a high level each week, never let themselves or the audience down. Had great crowd support each week. Was one of the expected top 4 of the judges and a standout-performer both solo and in the group songs where he stood out as the best. On top of all this - an amazing voice and a really nice person with a great attitude!

he HAS got a great attitude all right, a real role model for the WHOLE OF NEW ZEALAND. 
Joe is the only one I like now too. I like Emily a bit sometimes but not enough to keep watching, so if Joe goes early too, I won't watch anymore. Except maybe the final, or the end of the final to see who wins.
Ben has more stage presence than Emily, and the judges even told her to work on the performance side of things.
And yes miss_chaos, we all knew this show was pretty stupid, but it keeps getting worse as it goes on, just when we thought it couldn't. Heh.
Yeh, I like Joe and enjoy watching her. Though Emily can sing well, don't actually like her. Will watch to enjoy Joe. She always makes me smile!

Apart from feeling so shocked and un-believing about the result, so glad you were there BIMI and got to meet Ben's family and join in at the end and say how you felt to Ben! Sort of representing us all there really!
Wondered if you were - if you had actually got tickets for this week. So now no-ones bothered about getting any more tickets anyway!
It was a really GREAT final performance - and so 'Ben' having all the audience around him he was so natural and enjoying singing with all the children and others. A typical Ben-on-stage. Really showing the showman he is and how much the audiences do enjoy him and get involved in his performances. How many of the others can have that whenever they appear? Hope he knows all the love and support so many people have for him - I'm sure he does though.
A real 'freak' result that no-one saw coming. And so unfair when he has so much to offer.
I most certainly do hope that this has shown those in the business just how talented and professional he is - and someone comes forward to get behind him and help him further his career!
We're all waiting.....................

Lucky you, getting to meet his Mum and little Sister. I think his Mum is beautiful and can see where Ben got his beauty from - I'm talking about on the inside where it REALLY counts.
I ditto that - a Record company that embraces Ben's talents but it's not just the music, he is a hot Christian too, that's what has always made me love and respect him so much.
WOW what a role model for the WHOLE country, he is the man to change the world you know. What am I saying BIMI, of course you know.
