Music: Spice Girls comeback concert in autumn

Submitted by TuiKiwi on 24 February, 2007 - 12:35pm.

The 1990s chart toppers, the Spice Girls, are returning to the stage for a charity concert in London and then a national tour.

Six years after the girl band split, all five original members are coming back together in hopes of running the concerts like a charity, possibly for Bono's Product Red campaign, the Daily Mail reported.

The campaign is raising money for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

They are really keen to do it if there is a charity angle. They are talking about doing it for Bono's Red campaign. It's been on the cards for a while, at least a couple of months. They are all good friends now, said one source.

Executives at Emap TV, who want to broadcast the concert, are flying to Los Angeles for talks with Simon Fuller, the former manager of the girl band and the current manager of Victoria Beckham.

The concert will not take place until Baby Spice Emma Bunton gives birth to her first child during the summer.

Get out of my car!!

Whose opening for them, Milli Vanilli?

Oh good god no! I don't care how much money they raise for charity, this is wrong and just not natural. Kill it.

Funnily enough most girls I know own/owned a Spice Girls cd. *shudder*
