Emily saved her best song for elimination sing off and totally hit the high notes and won the Judges over hands down, she played her cards right, it payed off.
they ahavnt announced the bottom 2 yet but im picking Matt &Nik

Latest news ... this week's Wednesday show is the last of its kind!!! They are going to incorporate the show into the Sunday show from now on, to boost ratings apparently. Obviously they are getting their stats from somewhere other than Wellington, though, cause the people at touchdown just told me that the tickets are booked out till the 15 of July!!! Which means ... I won't be able to go on the 8th *cries uncontrollably*
ahh, im not even going to this weeks show because of the Jericho finale. im gonna e-mail Touchdown for 2x 15th tickets
Apparently, after saying that I could go every week a couple of weeks ago
, they are now giving "tickets" to other people who email in who haven't been yet ... which is fair enough, but why didn't they just say that in the first place, instead of making promises they couldn't keep?! 
I'm tempted to see if I can book myself a "place" in the Final show now ...

I turst my workmate very well, plus I saw the email, which she showed me, because she wanted 7 tickets for a show and then touchdown responded with saying it is all booked out until the final
Once I got over feeling sad for Steve aagain at the start - got into what we had to see this week!
Emily was excellent! Hate that song every time it gets played - but this was the best I've heard it. She was no-where near as annoying as Rhianna! Lucky for her again to get a 'now' song - that she performed really well, and looked the part!
Ben got another really boring song, after something he could move around with last week! He did a really good version of it - well done Ben. To make such a dull song so good and interesting as he could! Notice the previous comment about him needing to lighten up - well he's done that the last couple of weeks!
Looks and sounds like a quality act!
The 2 outstanding performers in this contest now! They stand out way ahead of the rest!
Loved the 4 guys song. They did a fantastic job, worked in really together and Ben came across as the lead singer with the other 3 as backing voices. Not deliberately, but just that his voice and presence on stage makes him stand out from the rest!
The 3 girsls really good too, but still Camellia makes a point of making herself stand out! Would have been close, glad the guys won though.
As for the rest, well enjoyed Joe again. She did well Still my third favourite. And never mind about her faces people comment on- I love her faces, makes me laugh, part of her personality.
Nik better than he often is - though didn't like the song - or hat - he did a good job and made a change for him.
Then came the rest! Matt dreadful - after the comments about his lack of commitment! His worst yet! And see he found some chains from Idol 1 - adding a scarf for added effect!
Camellia the worst she's ever been too! Really bad singing and expected her to be in bottom 2 - and should go!
David his usual happy self. And thought he was better than Camellia and Matt! He does listen and is trying to improve!
The best - No doubt about it being Ben & Emily!

I actually didn't think Emily did as great on Umbrella as made out. I thought she ran out of breath in a few places, or that's what it seemed like.
Think I know one place you may mean. I just thought she was missing out some of the annoying bits - and liked it better that way!

and I think Matt should be thinking himself that he hasn't exactly been performing 100% so far on the show ... only ONE person has been doing that, and we all know who, don't we?!

You disagree about Matt being awful just cos he isn't in the bottom 2? You don't see the ranking of where everyone else is in the votes, and just because he doesn't end up in the bottom 2, doesn't mean he performed well. It means enough people voted for him/enough votes were placed for him. For all we know, he could be the third lowest and only just scraping through. Immunity isn't necessarily changing the bottom 2.

we'll never find out the true results because Touchdown simply never make results public for sensitive reasons.
You think Matt was stink? I thought he was great! apart from 2weeks ago where he had some throat problem. Results show he wasnt in the bottom 2 because New Zealanders vote for him. 'nuff said haha!

Sorry Chevy but Matt hasn't come CLOSE to great so far this series
which is sad, cause he did so well last year ... he just doesn't seem to have improved at all, or be trying to improve himself at all 
That's the thing with the entertainment industry - you can't just keep staying the same old rut - you have to always be looking for ways to make yourself better, or make yourself more marketable or acceptable to a wider range of people - so far, to my mind, Matt is still back in Idol

I'm not saying it's true, just that it's a possibility. But no, we won't know for sure.
Even though I really REALLY can't stand Matt (more so than on Idol), I still can hear that he has a good voice. I said that on Idol. It's just that he's boring and not nice to watch and irritating as hell. But I don't think vocally he's been up to the standards of his good vocal performances on Idol, even before his throat problem.
The girls need to clean their firggin ears out. The vote was for immunity from elimination, not 'youre the best award'
All good that Ben won and he deserved it but is that what the award is for now? it is an immunity award for someone who needs to be saved from elimination. Ben sang good and ALWAYS sings good and never needs the safe immunity award. That was a big waste of $votes from all the Ben voters.
Next week if the boys vote for the girls they can have a "youre the best singer award" all Joes idea. Im sure Camillia wouldnt mind seeing that she's a regular to the bottom2
If immunity is given each week to someone who they think will go, then the final will end up being two of the not so good singers in the competition and that kind of defeats the purpose of finding pop's ultimate star don't you think? Personally I don't understand why they have immunity anyway. It seems silly to me.

Remember the first week it was given out, the judges awarded it to Camellia because they thought she did such a good job aranging the group song. It was given as a reward to someone who did well and deserved it because of that.
That is how it should be given. Not to someone who does so bad that their place is under threat. The person that the least number of people voted for! That is wasting votes, because then someone who shouldn't be in the bottom 2 because they got more votes, is likely to be in it!
If it's given to the person most under threat, then it would be wrong because the same person could be getting it week after week and end up in the final because of the immunity!
Good choice girls- glad you appreciate someone who is working well and not trying to save someone who doesn't deserve it!
Anyway, would have been real mad if the girls had given to Emily who obviously wanted to give it Matt because he's her friend, in spite of his lack of commitment and bad performance!

Wonder if Steve would have still been there, and not been in the bottom 2 if Nik hadn't got immunity that week! With Nik and Camellia singing against each other, it could well have been Camellia who went, not Steve! My reason for saying this is because the judges never had much of a good thing to say about Steve, but have about Nik.

I know I said I didn't expect him to be there for long, but my predicictions haven't been very good for this show! Quite bad in fact!
Hope it's not a bad omen for people when I like them - with 2 of my favourites - Steve and Rosita going already!
Grrr! This REALLY irritated me!! I don't like Matt that much but I thought that was really unfair and completely uncalled for that Harry bought that up! This programme seems to be about the contestants defending themselves and making excuses - the first week Emily being late, the next week Matt's throat etc and the judges (especially Harry) seem to keep putting the contestants into situations where what can they do besides make excuses and defend themselves and that makes them seem pathetic! No one wants to know about half of what happens during the week, we're judging on what we see on the night anyway and I felt so sorry for Nik a few weeks ago when Harry said that he had performed better in his rehearsal cos he might have been feeling really good about his performance and even if he was feeling terrible about it, that was the last thing he would have wanted to hear either way and it has an effect on the voters too! Also Harry was going on about Matt being unprofessional but how unprofessional is it mentioning that on live tv, it didn't achieve anything for himself or Matt and it's the sort of thing if it needed to be said could be said to Matt in private and it just put him in the position where he had to make excuses for himself and therefore made himself seem even more unprofessional, cue for an embarassing argument!! Rant over..
I can't stand Matt. He irritates me more and more the longer he stays, just like with Idol. My parents told me he got told off, cos I was away and I taped it. I laughed when they told me that but it was even better watching it.
I hope the Judges find another silly excuse to tell him off again because his fans will vote even harder LOL

I think the Judges/ Touchdown are pulling a reverse physcological pitch to get people voting out of sympathy just so their Idol doesnt go. and it works, peole vote harder.
In reality, Matt would've been pulled aside and asked to provide a medical certificate or a give dam good excuse, then told to double up his rehearsal's to catch up.
For the first time last week i got angry over what the Judges said about Steve. Everyone i talk to said Steve performed EXCELLENT and this is coming from my workmates who are not even interested in Idol, PUS etc. Then the Judges cut Steve off and keep Camillia? Lol! Something doesnt seem right : (
Well, at first agreed with you, but afterwards thought about it and now don't!
When Matt's commitment was first questioned, and then Harry said what had been happening, I thought like you, that it shouldn't have been brought up publicly!
But then thought that the public are actually paying to vote for these people and need to know who is taking this seriously and working hard at it! These comments about behind the scenes do make a difference to help us see who deserves to win this - not only because they sing and perform well, but because of hard work and commitment to their singing!
