What did everyone think of this episode of the show?
Highlights I thought were Ben and Emily.
Saddest were Nik followed by Steve and David and Matt.
Biggest miss was Rosita.

When Steve went last night, I couldn't help but think how hard the judges have been on him, and how easy they have been on Matt and Dave, who aren't nearly as good. He rocked it last night.
It sucks.
That's right, they have been very critical of Steve and only praised Matt & David!
Steve's been really enjoyable to watch, I didn't used to be a fan of his, but certainly am after watching him in this show. He's matured, got heaps more confidence and performing soo well!
He was really good with his bottom 2 performance - and sure he wouldn't have been in the bottom 2 singing that song like that! Good choice of song, it really suited him!
And what's with the judges not knowing it anyway, what about the songs they give out that a lot of the public don't know - but still have to vote on! Know it or not, it's about how he peformed it!
Anyway, maybe he shouldn't have been in the bottom 2 - it may have been Nik! Which means Steve shouldn't even have been in the line up to go!
Would certainly want to see more of him!
Obviously the judges had decied to keep Camellia- well it was her they gave immunity to the previous week. When Steve came out performing so well, they had to find excused to keep Camellia - and they didn't convince anyone!
Ew yes! David should be long gone. Actually, and Matt too. Chuck them in the rubbish together and call the truck to take them away! Sadly, I knew the judges were gonna boot him. And I missed his performance of Straight Lines cos my tape ran out. Grrr! I hate the judges more now. Steve sings Lifehouse amazingly!

I actually felt quite emotional listening to him sing it, and that's always a good sign, I reckon 
I remember when he sang Spin on Idol. Lifehouse fully agrees with him. Pity the judges don't have enough sense to see that.

And I was VERY interested to see that for the first time it was 2-1 in favour of one contestant staying from the remaining contestants! Hmmmm ... me thinks the judges may have missed a trick this week
For starters, I don't think they'll get anywhere NEAR as many viewers now that Steve's gone - Camillia just doesn't have the same appeal for quite a few viewer, I would say 
I don't think Camellia would have much appeal at all! As well as her performing, which is way over-done, think her attitude would put off a lot of viewers - and those working with her! Not surprised most wanted her to go!
She could well have been in the bottom 2 last week if she didn't have immunity! Then again this week! Wonder who's getting the lowest votes!
Really sorry to see Steve go! One of the most enjoyable there! And another one of my favourites!
He did really well - his very best yet! He didn't overdo anything - as the judges said. Whereas Camellia did! All through her song I kept saying how she was over-exagerating everything!
Steve seemed such a nice person and was enjoyable to watch, even if not the very best singer. He has an big appeal - and I'm sure would be more popular with a lot of the the public than Camellia!
And what was with the comment about wanting to keep someone who wants to continue singing - Steve's been singing and performing ever since he was on Idol, proving he does take his singing career seriously. Camellia hasn't been!

Man, and I really, really thought Steve totally "nailed" it with that song too! 
to those stinky judges - what would they know about what we want to listen to?! Who cares if YOU don't know it, PU, anyway ... you're not the market Steve's aiming at, by a loooooooong way!!!

I so totally cried with Steve as well at the end of the show tonight when he was talking about the show and memories from it, etc - that was SO cool, but sad at the same time. Steve-o, you're the man ... well, after Ben of course, and I for one am so totally going to miss your awesome performances every week!
Ditto the comments from yourself and Loyal BIMI. I couldn't believe it. That guy could dual career it, singing AND modelling. He's got a 'rich' future in front of him anyhow, and great to see a guy show emotion. He loves what he does too, just like Ben. Goodness if we were all the same, singers included in that, the world would be a truly boring place indeed.
i recall when the Contestants were asked which of the bottom2 would you like to stay, was it Ben and Matt who vouched for Steve?
being professionals/winners themselves they should have some clout and 'in the know'
Actually, it was only David and Nik that said they thought Camillia should stay ... the other FOUR (Ben, Matt, Emily and Joe) all thought it should be Steve

I'm hoping to come up to the finale of Pop's Ultimate Star actually as have my Biological Father (I'm adopted) and his wife live up there (Wellington) near the Police College actually, and also have cousins up there too. Would have to work that in with work, although at the moment no work on Fridays and nothing until Thursday each week, unless I get more Relief work.
Would be great to meet yourself and Nikki. Maybe BIMI and Loyal too.

And next week she'll do a 'purple rain' Lol! she'll get given a song and told how to sing it, then WONT listen to the Judges and sing it her own way
Waste of friggin time voting! just so some stylist, NZ idol disliker, washed up ex musicians can do the opposite and eliminate Contestants as they see fit?? ultimate suckyness
and if TVNZ, and Touchdown are reading (most likely will be) lol this format of voting sucks azz. It's gonna turn people away now that they see their votes are not working in the end and a waste -take note

Matt kicked azz. His voice was right on and hit it wiht voters,the bottom-2 thingy proved that. Matt knows he is only going to get somewhere by doing what got him through on idol-3 'powering it' the crowd respond with votes
Felt sorry for Steve as everyone at the live show were cheering on their fav's, no one for Steve. Steve said 'what about for Steve' everyone started cheering for him.

Maybe it was just cause I immediately began comparing him to Ben ... who was sublime singing this song in idol one ... but Matt definitely didn't kick ass in my opinion anyway!

Good to see Ben with a more up-beat song. Loved all the performance's he's given so far - but needed a change of pace to show what else he could do! Fantastic job of 'Faith'!
He never fails to give excellent performances. Never lets himself or his fans down.
Finally Emily is showing us what she can do! Did well last week, but this week, she really impressed me. Her and Ben will be rivals for the top place here I can see - or should be! Definately the best male and female singers!
My next favourite is Joe. She's always different and makes me laugh, great performances and fantastic personality. Laughed at her at the studio in the film-clip.
Nik was really bad and definately the worst - could well be in the bottom 3 again next week and may be the one to go. Very lucky not to be there this week I'd think!
Steve always entertains me and I enjoy watching him, even if his singing lets him down. He seems to know that too! But still like him. May be unlucky enough to go though this week. Stupid comment from a judge about avoiding songs with falsettos - when the judges are the ones giving them the songs!
David really boring, not his fault he got that song, nothing much more he could do with it I guess. Maybe the judges wanted to show everyone that he doesn't really deserve to be there.
Guess Camellia did OK with her song, but kept thinking of Kali, and enjoyed her more!
What on earth were the judges doing giving Matt the song that so became Ben's during Idol! Ben made it his own, with fantastic performances of it.
Matt gave very sorry version, sounded sad!
And what's with this 'good-'looking' the judges keep saying about him!
Definately liked the top 4 group song better. they all worked well together. Did they get told how to sing it or did they work they style out for themselves I wonder. Camellia seemed like she wanted to take over her group and stood out too much.
Agreed Loyal - I guess this comment from Harry just proves that they (a) aren't really taking ANY notice of what's going on in the series, or (b) they don't really care and have already made up their minds who should win anyway, or (c) they just don't have a clue what they are talking about!!! LOL
Maybe they are trying to boost his self esteem cause everyone keeps on going on about how overweight he is, or something?!!
One can only hope! I actually nearly fell asleep during his "performance"
My one thing about Joe, though, is the fact that she seems to be putting on this nervous, scared look all the time
If she's really such a good performer, she should have no reason to be nervous about what people think or whether or not they are going to vote for her and keep her in the competition - she should just get out there and perform! It just annoys me slightly every week, cause it's almost as if she's trying to get people to vote for her cause they feel sorry for her, not cause she's a good performer. And that shouldn't be why people vote at all!
I felt sorry for Nik, and Steve, this week cause the band was REALLY badly out through both their songs and it affected them terribly
It's not THEIR fault that the drummer can't keep a beat, yet they will be the ones that get punished for it 
Its a shame cause I have heard BOTH boys sing better, in particular Nik singing Shadowfeet on Wednesday night - he was awesome!
