New Zealand Idol winner Matt Saunoa has been barred from Auckland's SkyCity casino after he was seen paying cash to another man who has also been banned.
Saunoa, the high-rating reality show's reigning champion, was pulled from the gaming floor and police called in after casino staff saw him pass money to a man who was then seen passing something back.
And he steals playstations?

Laughed when I heard this on the radio yesterday!
The announcer said Matt had been banned from the casino for 2 years for 'unacceptable behaviour.'
I was thinking Matt hasn't changed from the image we've had of him since Idol!
The announcer also spoke about the theft of the x-box from the Idol house, that was 'rumoured' to have been stolen by Matt!
Matt is a nasty little low life who believes that he is "owed" something in life without having to fight for it in fair play. He is (and was always) the most unliked of the Idols, amongst themselves, .... too ambitious ... too self centered ..... and VERY sneaky and underhand with his "light fingers" ....... liking the odd toke was the least of his sins ,......... but for some reason, you gullible people fell for it ..... he plays the "I'm only doing this for my family" card EXTREMELY well ....... and you believe it and love him for it, good on you, you deserve the CRAP television this kind of "play" delivers ............................. but please don't be so stupid as to actually think that your PAID FOR votes are about choosing the best entertainer (or in fact have ANY bearing on what the producers want) ...... I know that even the fact I have expressed these thoughs will win Matt some "sympathy" votes ... and good on you for wanting to waste your money ...... but please realise that the PRODUCERS decide who stays in and who leaves .......

I disagree. The winner is someone who will have a position of a role model for little kids. Therefore, morals are important - otherwise what are you teaching them? That you get rewarded for having no morals? That's just wrong.

Anyway, its hard to have anything good these days but yes, the younger ones do need someone to look up to -agree. Theres currently not many out there unfortunatly. I personally think Ben wouldve made an excellent role model but the Judges voted him out too early.

You're so right about Matt! I was one of those who were taken in by him - at the beginning of Idol, but started to see through the 'nice guy who does everything for his family' act, long ago!
Unfortunately, it seems a lot of others are still being taken in by it - that or he's voting for himself.
And it's is so obvious that voting is a waste of money - the judges (or producers) know full well how they want this to go, whatever the voters indicate!
