My Blogs Idol 2006

Welcome to my second issue of My Blogs Idol

I've been hard at work over the past few weeks, recently being promoted to a new role working at the Farmers Trading Company I’ve been proudly reaping the benefits, which is great. I thought I'd write about entertainment news, resources and general stuff in this post, because to be honest with you, there hasn't been a lot going on in the news regarding anything Idol.

If you haven't heard about it already, Pandora.com is an idea based on the Music Gnome Project founded by musicians and music-lovers. A group that “believes in the value of music

NZ Idol 3 2006!

My Blogs Idol 2006

Welcome to My Blogs Idol 2006!

Who would've thought there was going to be yet another season of New Zealand Idol! Some were critising the programme saying; it's just a lame attempt at the "network" trying to get up on ratings, that there won't be another season of NZ Idol so on and so forth, we've all heard it before but it's final. Advertisements are airing both on air and radio, promotional work has been finalised and Dominic is still the host! I personally have been focusing on my work life at the moment, but even still, I still try to race home and dodge traffic in order to get home quick enough for Season 5 of American Idol! It's true, the Idol Fever is still in my blood.

"This year we've made it bigger than ever with the winner taking home a recording contract, a new "yet to be released" Daihatsu SUV, PLUS $50,000 cash."

Thanks to The Critic and Admin's attempt at shaking the airwaves, in the Idol realm, their suggestions weren't taken serious enough to be held up. For example, the Australasian Idol concept, where from my perspective would open the door for Samoan, Tongan, Cook Island and even Australian residents to compete in glamourous Royal Rumble and fight it out to be not only their countries Idol but to be recognised throughout the Pacific circle, and be crowned the Australasian Idol. Sad really. It's a great idea! Critic says; "I can't imagine them being happy about a bunch of free-loading kiwis riding off their coat tails just because they can't produce any decent results". Following, Critic suggested "Perhaps, as well at the supposed main prize, the producers can throw a car into the deal". And they have! So if your entering the competition, good luck you have definately got a better deal this time round! As for Rosita, Ben and Micheal well good luck to you all!

My Blogs Idol (2)

My Blog's Idol

Welcome to the second addition of My Blog’s Idol.

We are only one day away from the second episode of NZ Idol 2 and the discussions on the forums have been weird to say the least! From the Liz Shaw expose, to the recent terrorist attacks in London and the Word Association thread has been a laugh or two as well.

Just in, I have to make mention that Liz Shaw believes she will be releasing an album through an independant disc jockey service, namely Escape E, located in Pawtucket, USA. A company that "provides highly skilled professional disc jockeys for ?live party? performances such as those required by wedding receptions, corporate functions, anniversaries, birthday parties, reunions, group dances and other private affairs." More on this discussion here.

In recent articles that have been published in regard to NZ Idol 2, there are a few that have reference to the antics of Anti-Idol’s in the Auckland auditions, nothing new, but otherwise predictable and not that interesting content to read.

I have, on my travels, been able to sift through all of the 50,000 Liz posts Re: NZ Idol 2 and have been able to spot a few downloads for everyone here - here are some of the auditions from the first episode that you may like to look at, without having to signup to the websites.
