NZ Idol 2006
- Contestants wishing to audition for NZ Idol should download the above form and have it submitted before 6pm on Monday the 8th of May 2006.
- Contestants must be aged between 16 and 30 years on the 17th of April 2006.
- Successful applicants will be notified by letter or email between the 24th of April 2006 and the 22nd of May 2006.
NZ Idol 2005
The 2005 application form could be completed by New Zealand citizens/permanent residents aged from 16-28 on 18 April 2005.
Under 17 year olds had to have parental or guardian permissioto participate as well as accompanying them to the audition. Last year's Top 10 contestants can't re-enter.
Successful applicants received confirmation such as the following:
CONGRATULATIONS!!! We are delighted to confirm that you have been selected for a NZ IDOL audition. The date and place of your audition is below. There is no need for you to reply to this letter, simply turn up on the day. Please remember to bring identification (with proof of your age). If you are under 18 years of age, you must have one of your parents or your legal guardian with you the entire time in order to audition. Please feel free to bring people along to support you during the day. Also remember to wear warm clothing and bring refreshments if required as you may be waiting for extended periods.
Please be aware that this may be your ONLY chance to shine in front of the judges so make sure you dress to impress. Please DO NOT wear clothing with visible brands or logos. If you do, you will not be able to audition. You should prepare a verse and chorus of a song of your choice.
If you are successful, you will need to be available for the second round of auditions the following day.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Please be aware of the following points before coming to your audition.
We are taking applicants on a first come first served basis. So be on time to ensure your chance to shine in front of our Judges.
You may be standing outside for several hours even after the doors open so PLEASE ensure you have appropriate clothing to protect against the cold and rain.
You will be called into your audition by your reference number, which you will find at the top right of this letter. Do not forget this number! Please bring this letter with you on the day of your audition.
We will need to see identification to prove you fit our age range of 16 or older and under 29 years old. It can be either your passport, birth certificate, drivers licence, student ID or some other official form of identification with your birthday on it. If you do not have a suitable form of ID with you, you will not be seen. Photocopies are not acceptable. Please remember if you make it to the next round of auditions you will need proof of citizenship or permanent residency.
You could be there all day so please come prepared with food and non-alcoholic drinks. There will also be food and drink available to purchase at the venue.
Please note that there is NO SMOKING or ALCOHOL permitted at the Auditions
If you are called back for the second round of auditions the following day, you must wear the same clothes.
You are completely responsible for getting yourself to this audition. NZ Idol is not liable for the costs of you attending.
If you are successful in the second round of auditions (day two), you will need to be available in Auckland for the third round, which will take place between Monday 27th June 2005 and Friday 1st July 2005.
You also need to be aware that if you’re chosen to proceed further you have to be available ANY day or time the NZ Idol team schedule. Please note this may include weekends and public holidays.
